Luke is just as unsure about Mits showing off powers to the others. But "show you how it's done" implies that it really was a magic trick. So he can't help but be extremely curious. And thinks about pulling a prank on Uncle Owen with the trick...
The Likely Consequences:
Owen jumps out of his chair, furious! "Didn't I tell you to stay away from that crazy old hermit!? What did he tell you? That your dad was a war hero and you should run off to be killed on some fool crusade too?! Well I've got news for you! That's only half the story!"
Luke stares in disbelief. "Whaaat? What's a magic trick got to do with Old Ben or my Dad?"
Owen turns pale. "...oops."
Somehow Luke thinks better of the idea.
Angel's answer confirms what his instincts were telling him.
Angel is sooo not the right girl for Tank. Or any other guy I know for that matter. You'd need some kinda superpowers to even register... huh. Guess that explains how she can be friends with the crazy cat. But talk about way to much pride for her own good. How to tell Tank without him getting all defensive? I'll just ask Biggs to handle it.
Luke blushes a little then nods to Windy with a knowing smirk and holds up his hands in surrender. "Ok ok. You got me. But I think you're making a case for both my points. That there were bandits in a place like that was lousy
luck. And it sure was
lucky that Biggs' skillful ruse worked. So we learned the valuable lesson that curiosity can be a very dangerous thing."
He was reaching for the controls too, but Biggs beat him to saving the ship. "You
are flying, Deak. And try not to forget it."
Luke smirks slyly at Angel, folding his arms. "Thanks for the skillful save, Biggs. We sure are
lucky to have you watching over Deak for us."
