I’d go backwards 5% for each stat.

I just did this for my other Robotech game where the PCs  (3 of the players here) are on a Zent Flagship. One of the 2 VT teams just entered the bridge and are failing horribly at using thier MA to persuade the Zents to surrender.

It’s gonna be interesting with close to 1000 Zent crewmen coming out of stasis.

Well, the Leadership skill does confer a percentage to Trust/Intimidate even if you have  an MA lower then 16.

If higher, you get a little pop to it.

Also, I take exception the 'failed horribly' classification.

The roll that mattered missed the by 3%, that's a fail yes, but not a horrible one, like say, failing by more then 30% or so...or bricking it with a 100%

Simple, he was around her long enough for her to see that he wasn't a total ass and was a forthright individual. It took a LONG time, but...plus Rick had Claudia in his corner (not that he knew it). Plus, when a guy dumps a 'Singer/Movie Star/Beauty Queen' for you...that says a lot as well.

Back in my day we didn’t use LCACs.  We just drove our AAV’s out the back of the ship and hoped all the seals were good, exsust covers closed and drain plugs were tightened.

As an aside, with Columbus Day coming up, folks have totally check out here for the day. I am literally the ONLY person left in the office.

Same here, on most Fridays, although I'm on a 9/80 rotation, so I get every other Friday off.

Yeah, no work on Monday for me. Our contract synced our holidays with the government to keep things simple.

I am one of the people that makes it vacant on Friday, usually  =)

Friday in general is either a "Oh crap, gotta get it done" hive of activity, or more often it is "Meh, it can wait till next week" or such.

I usually use the day to tie up loose threads.

I do get to work from home, as needed.  Like if the AC guy is coming, or something like that, I can just log in from home.  Sometimes due to health/injury as well.  Flexible, but they like to see your face.

Just a heads up on the transfer to the UN SPACY bit. Its a bit of meta gaming to post this, but it isn't like we HAVE NOT watched the show or read the novels. That and EVERYONE is doing a good job of pretending in character that the ship is going to space fold back to Earth.



No one's character is going to be prevented from flying a VT (unless you do something like mutiny). Even if your ass is tossed in the brig for some minor infraction they'll send you up on combat sorties. But you may be passed up to command a squadron, or be a squadron XO.
