Jensson player... please don't "God Mode", I replied to your first post and you breezed right past it.  I really don't appreciate that.

Add to that:  I don't know why you are envisioning that the soldiers and pilots are eating grandly.. maybe the OFFICERS has some better rats, but that would be about it.  Generally they eat what everyone else eats.. and it is almost certainly B-RATS.  Canned, powdered, preserved foods.. there is a serious lack of fresh food right now, likely.

ALSO, MREs are actually pretty damned good, you get tired of them for a steady diet, but they aren't bad overall, even the originals.  B-RATS are sometimes better, sometimes worse.  Sometimes MUCH worse.. those damn T-Rats they used to serve us were abominable.

Not trying god-mod.  I have had the other thread open so I could take time to work on my post because I have been busy around the house and driving.  So sorry if it seem I ignored your post, but I didn't see it until just after I posted.

It happens, but maybe not hit two threads quickly in succession like that?  Give other people time to RP?

And also, McIntyre is intent to maintain order and a mass exodus with chow trays isn't going to happen.

You might see something like that in a badly written movie, but real military frowns on things like that.

Also consider the psychological ramifications.

Consider what happens when 10 or so well meaning folks with nummy food bits start passing them around, and people start hearing about it.

First, those ten are gonna get swarmed by more folks than they can possibly feed, asking for food, DEMANDING food, and will get a sad when they don't get the noms.

Second, any pilot or military person who later visits the town before things are stable is likely to get asked for food, and maybe get accosted when they say they don't have any to give. They might even be taken hostage in EXCHANGE for food.

Third, it might cause a food riot if folks think some are getting preferential treatment over others.

Right now things are stable because every one gets one MRE pack a day, and while that sucks, it's equal and it's fair. (see point three)

And at the risk of sounding mean, picky kids get to go to bed hungry, when their tummy growls enough they'll eat, even if they don't like it. Survival is funny that way, and an MRE will keep and keep and keep.

It's a hard truth, but a truth.

Officers present will almost certainly try to maintain order, rather than allow a junior officer to go off half cocked like that.

Military discipline is a thing, and is rigid for a reason.

Ok so I am back from vacation and catching up with work.

There is one new player working on a character right now who will eventually be a VT pilot (but will originally be either a transport or space fighter pilot).

...and there is a second potential new player who might be interested in running a back seater (WSO or EWO). Said potential back seater will need a pilot.

If both of these potential new players decide to join the game will have the max number of players I am willing to have.
