The transporter is energized and seconds later, the Away Team is standing on the deck of the space-going longship. Pacomio is there, as well.

The person who was shooting at the space animal is nearby. At someone's gesture, he turns and sees the away team.

"WHO ARE YOU? WHY HAVE YOU INTERFERED WITH OUR HUNT?" he bellows out.

There are two problems with this. The first, as expected, is that his mouth doesn't actually move as if it is making those sounds. Which leads to the second problem... with a bit of effort, you can hear past the words to what sounds he is really making--a bunch of clicking sounds. Since the Mongoose's universal translator hadn't been able to translate the alien language, it now seems probably that this ship has its own translator that is translating for you.

Other than the fact that he 'leader' and several others are holding the plasma rifles, no one on the ship seems to be threatening the Away Team.
