So I have been digging through my books and just realized my Adventures book is currently deep in storage after my move.  I have a character template for the concept with all the choices but I don't remember which each one does to the numbers. Anyone got the book handy can help me run through it?

I am good with any time honestly.

I feel most of the stuff we are going to be doing is away from a lot of what happened in the series so it doesnt feel it will matter where we are in time. And who knows, its pretty common to end up jumping into different time periods anyway.

Didn't know there were more books yet I only have the basic core.

Now to remember which order I took what in because I just wrote them down...

Hadn't yet seen how the timeline worked. I wasn't planning to completely stick with the official canon anyway if it made things a bit tricky.

But as Dypec said, it's away from most of the action anyway.

Also, anyone mind if I put in for the XO spot?  We have a captain and second officer, but no XO from what I see.

The decision on SoT is important, since they too are based out of Narendra station, and are currently, as of 2375, the only Federation starship in the Shackleton Expanse. I should mention this is a licensed production. And many of the things in that game are becoming official cannon in the STO and ST universe.

My suggestion is set it in 2378, so after DS9 but before Voyager returns. This allows us to futz with the timeline without contradicting the main story. And it will be after SoT's current timeline.

This also would explain why we were there. As during the Dominion war most of the ships were busy fighting. So very few were sent on exploration/science missions. If we set it after the Dominion war, we gain the ability to be on the resurgence of the exploration/scientific mission.

Oh good, I'm glad someone shared that link already. It helped me considerably putting stats to my concept,
and the step-by-step history navigation on the left side helped with some trail-and-error.

Out of curiosity, do you know if there is a similar ship sheet generator?

so trill simbionts are super rare and basically revered. there are only 300 available at any given time to be joined. we have two. so if anything happened like say a warp core breach that blows up our ship we could be responsible for starting a war with the trill or at least their withdrawl from starfleet.

And I only *just* realized I should peep the "Game Info" for setting details.

Minor Q's (questions of course, not, um children with god-like powers):

- Are we sticking with 2372 (from the Game Info blurb) as the year?

- Re: the Audacious, Mongoose and Starhawk from the IC thread: What types of ships are these?
Or it is up for vote? Are we all crewing the same ship?

- Are we risking war with the Trill? ;-)

Also I think we should go with either a scientist, or an astronaut/cosmonaut. In keeping with the Starfleet naming styles.

I am now trying to work on learning the ship rules.

At least I know how engineering works on board the ship.
