Finally it feels like my migrains are letting go.
3 times 72 hours of headache, dizzyness, blurred speach, tingly skin, oversensetive eyes and ears.
Now FINALLY a bit of calm.

Im taking a break from DMing.
Feeling a little burnt out in live games, and on RPOL.

Its about to be a busy season for my work, and then i will be gone for a few weeks for vacation, and then holidays and a new puppy on top of that.

I can't quit roleplaying all together.
so I know I will be back, hoping the new year I will be recharged and work and life will be balanced once again.
Appreciate all you players and the work you have to create characters.

This is good long running game and I know what GM burnout is like.

Whose still here? I'm not sure what I wanna do for a campaign yet but I wanna run a game on here again to get some of my ideas out that I can't in my live games.

You can play as these characters or if there's something new. I haven't really formed my thoughts on what to do for a main story yet

Busy life busy work but crazy overtime has stopped fir now. And my live d&d games have been feeding the itch but there's plenty of side ideas I've written to get out.

Lol... just finally getting slowed down here. Retired from the military and finishing up my transitional period for my civilian job, so gonna need a new job until I start drawing my retirement pay

The good thing about how this game was set up was, there is the over arching story. But each mission is self contained.

So luckily we have the info for where you are currently (searching for giants causing issues)

We can pick up from there. Or just scrap it and go back to the lodge and pick a different mission to be fresh

Birahu is NOT an elf. If it had been 50 years, he'd be retired.

I thought he was retired and set up home in an inn.  Or is that somewhere else in the multiverse?

He'd be a sage. Not sure what he was, my biography said 8th level wizard, my sheet says 7th level.

To just give you a heads up, my Windows computer crashed and is being rebuilt, I'm on a Linux machine now, but it has been sketchy too, it didn't want to boot yesterday so now I just let it sleep instead of turning it off.

I would probably be in the same boat being a Fetchling. They live about as long as a half-elf. So he probably would have had to retire himself.

I'm okay with starting a new quest or continuing on the one we were on.

So there is a question of how long we have been away from the Lodge... I am assuming we would be able to progress our character during this down time, or maybe try to gain more funds. Those of us who have skills that warrant a profession (Craft or Profession Skill), then I could see us using that skill to either make money during this downtime or gather materials.

For instance, I have both Profession Herbalism and Craft Poison, add in my knowledges of Flora and Nature, I could use my skills to further my funds from making poisons, antitoxins, being used as a subject matter expert for those who were poisoned, etc. Thoughts?
