Forest
he forest was vast, thick, and diverse. Its canopy was claimed by larch, cedar, and hawthorn, enough light shimmered through their crowns for a range of bushes to use the nut and seed covered grounds below.
Curling vines embraced every tree, and a range of flowers, which desperately tried to claim the last remnants of light, stuck out against the otherwise green lower level.
A clamor of beastly noises, predominantly those of insects, brightened up the forest, and were backed by the occasional sounds of large animals in the distance.
