A science-y parasite, or more like a magical parasite?

...Where would the modifications... like the claws... come from, again, exactly...?

Science-y, aaaaand I hadn't thought of that x_x.

So what we've got is a young gal who got a science-y parasite that makes her:

--Tough
--Strong
--Repairs her body if she dies, so she comes back a few days/nights later...


1. How did she get this parasite?
2. Where does she live now?
3. Does anyone know she's powered?
4. Name 1 or more triggers that could cause people to realize she's powered (sounds like getting hurt would do it...)
5. Does she currently attend school or what?

1:  She received a pretty standard surgery for appendicitis, however the doctor was a last minute replacement whom later was sought after by police because several other children he performed surgery on passed away.  She's the only one who survived, and it's thought the parasite was implanted by him for unknown reasons.  Maybe she's the only one it properly bonded with?

2&3:  Her parents were the first to discover her powers and they reacted badly, in a somewhat religiously fuelled fight they disowned her, fearing she would threaten the rest of the family.  The only one to not just accept her powers but help her is her Auntie, Jessica, who took her away to America where she was in the process of moving for work.

4:  Injury causes thick black "threads" to burst from the wound and quickly sew it shut, it's not a subtle process by any means.  Her healing power needs food to fuel it, so when she's hungry squiggly black "threads" can begin to poke out from her lips and old wounds in search of food.

5:  Jessica is looking to enroll her in school, but due to the nature of her arrival in the US things are rather complicated.

Okay... so... do we want to see if any other players want to join now? Should I advertise? Do you feel it's time?

Oh! I thought of a new question for you regarding that: Should I be pushing other players to be (a team of) young people, like you? Or do you want to be the only young person on your team? Or you don't care about the age mix? Or what?

I'm not too bothered about other people's ages.

Okay. I'll advertise soon. First I wanna reach out to a few people from other games whom I know are reliable (although they may not have time to take on a new game).

New questions I thought of for you:

1. Will The Brick wear a mask when heroing?

2. Does The Brick have any special motivations regarding being a heroine? Or does it simply seem like the morally right thing to do?

3. What exactly is your character's age?

4. Oh, by the way-- be sure and fill in your character's description in the appropriate spot, what people see when they look at The Brick-- and also what they see when they look at Francesca.

1:  She'll wear the usual Superhero eye mask.

2:  She figures that she has some abilities (though she's still figuring them out) so she might as well use them to help people.

3:  11 years old.

Okay Scorch, you've got PASSING, ENHANCED SENSES, and AREA OF EFFECT.

So the first one, right off, tells me that while you seem to look freaky, it's an altered look you can turn on and off at will, with full control--

You also have enhanced senses, and are therefore hard to surprise (although you should expect some false alarms now and then), and--

You're good at blasting everyone in an area at once-- and excluding friends and innocents. Nice!

Now let's flesh things out a bit:

1. How old are you? (You're a teenager, I believe you mentioned to me earlier?

While Scorch Scale has the legendary senses of the dragon and a measure of their strength (Human prime), the real power Saul has is bringing forth the inferno from within

1. Yup, teenage kid with no click of his own.
1a. Currently he does attend school.

2. If asked, Saul would say that it's a cool, awesome thing to do that helps people. Who doesn't want to be a superhero?
But honestly, that dragon that possesses him burns with a desire for dominance, battle and a desire to be freed. Heroics are an easy answer to sate these desires and retain control of his situation.

4. TL;DR - The magic of dragon essence gives Saul the powers of a dragon.
Saul had bought an old curious book with some of his saved birthday money. A long forgotten thing in that shop of curiosities. But when he opened a lock resting between pages, the magic spilled out and threatened to release an old dragon. Drocan the Forest Furnace would have wrecked havoc, if Saul hadn't hugged the book closed to his chest, causing the Draconian essence to pool into his body and soul and leaving behind a nasty burn mark on his chest.
From then on, Saul had a fraction of the dragon's power and Drocans ire.

5. Saul has lived most of his life along the Oregon Coast, visiting family in one or two other states.

6. So far his family doesn't know, but the Order of St. George knows that the essence of Drocan is in the world. Fearing the worst, they search for the victim to quell the dragon again, by any means necessary.

Well Frankie, you have a child Frankenstein monster for a super. Who can come back from the dead with crazy super strength thanks to a parasite.
