Fangs of Tiamat - Lore and Major Characters

We rend
We tear
Her enemies beware
The Dragon Queen's chosen have come
and through our might you are undone!

-Meek'krix, Speaker of the Black Voice, Keeper of Her Sacred Word

The Fangs of Tiamat are a cult formed in two worlds, both in Toril and Avernus, as a splinter-faction of the Church of Tiamat. Servants to the Archdevil herself, their assumed purpose is to sew chaos in the realms and oppose a shadowy cult meant to usurp her power. In actuality their goal is the emancipation of The Undying Queen, to break her free from her bonds in the Abyss and set her loose once more upon her enemies and exterminate the Cult of the Dragon. However, the vast majority of her servants know nothing of Her grand designs and that is often for the best. Her minions are often content with blood, meat and the spoils that their chaos brings.

Fangs of Tiamat - Lore

Any and all pertinent information gained by the party shall be gathered here. At the time of character creation information known will be no greater than any other pawn within the Church of Tiamat.

The fall of Sess'innek - The tanar'ri demon lord Sess'innek, who cowardly hid himself during the Blood War, was discovered by the foul human wizard Mordenkainen. This discovery breached the seal on his subplane of the Abyss, allowing Tiamat to find and devour the usurper. His church shattered, with a large number of his worshipers (including the demon-blooded Lizard Kings) to convert. Now absorbed into the Church of Tiamat, these creatures provide demon-blood to enhance the strength of her armies on the material plane.

The Cult of the Dragon - Little is known of the Cult by the party, save for the disdain the Queen of Dragons has for them and that they are to be killed on sight.

Fangs of Tiamat - Major Characters

Church of Tiamat

Meek'krix, Speaker of the Black Voice, Keeper of Her Sacred Word - Granted the most unholy of gifts by The Undying Queen, Meek'rix can directly commune with the Queen of Dragons. Using profane rituals known by only the Speaker himself, he summons the word of The Dark Lady and speaks directly to the Talons of the church. Meek'krix is an albino green Dragonspawn, standing roughly ten feet tall. He is extremely gaunt for his size and species, but is known to possess immeasurable arcane and divine powers. His body is covered in a lattice of scars, said to stem from the communion ritual.

Tezzarun, Herald of The Queen's Wrath, Talon of the Church of Tiamat - The commander of your motley band of monsters and miscreants, Tezzarun leads without tolerance for failure or dissention among his troops. Militaristic and unforgiving, his forces are the reflection of his will and he wills order and obedience at all times. Tezzarun is a centauroid black dragonspawn who stands nearly fifteen feet tall when at attention. His ebon scales are flecked with crimson, an imperfection he does little to hide as his prowess and reputation compensate for his defects.

Razgarr, First Fang of Tezzarun - Directly responsible for your party, Razgarr acts as intermediary between your group and Tezzarun. When orders are passed down by Tezzarun it is Razgarr's duty to pass them along to you. Should you succeed or fail in your endeavors it is Razgarr who must inform Tezzarun. As such he takes a very personal interest in your actions. Razgarr is a Blackscale Lizard king, standing nearly eight feet tall and with a fifteen foot wing span. He wears bone chimes that he hangs from each of his elongated horns, consisting of a mix of human and kobold bones. They are the bones of past servants of the church who failed Razgarr.
