It looks like I forgot to handle your short rest, so go ahead and spend your hit dice for healing if you want.
Short Rests do not restore any HP by default, you instead spend your hit dice. Apparently the character sheets I set you all up with doesn't have hit dice listed, which is rather unhelpful. However, you gain a hit die every time your character levels. You got level 3 after your short rest, so you actually only have the 2 hit dice available for healing.
Your hit die is the same thing you roll to get your HP, it's different for each class. Talin/Maric both have d8, Morgan a d10, and Beatrice a d12. You can roll them one at a time so you know where you sit, then decide if you want to use the other one or not. You can only use 1 hit die, per level, each day. So sometimes it's good not to blow them all at once or you may find yourself with no way to heal except a Long Rest.
When you roll the hit die to heal, you'll roll whichever die you have (listed above) and then add your Constitution modifier to, that's how much healing you receive. As we left it, only Beatrice was really in need of healing.
