Perfect yeah the original thought remained for the search of others out there I like the Thunderbolt / suicide squad twist and can work that into the formation.
Not as Brutal as blowing off your heads should you not agree or cross the line lol.
But I'll have something up my sleeve for sure ;)

Think we'll get any superheros/heroines?

Right now it's looking pretty interesting.

It'd be interesting to get a proper leader-type hero to keep all these personailities in check, but even if not I think we can do a lot of good for a lot of people, and also probably blow things up.

Darkstar isn't really a hero, but he's enough of a professional (criminal) to point out that, "You know, if we keep up the psychopathy, we won't just scare the villains.  As the great strategist Yoda might have said, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to our employers deciding to nuke us from orbit just to be sure."

One thing I hope we maintain is the slightly more realistic take on super-beings that the Marvel Cinematic Universe had.  Like, we don't get briefings of "Electro and the Scorpion are knocking over a jewelry store in the Bronx.  Go get 'em, team!"

Instead, think of a bad guy with https://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Andrew_Franklin_(New_Earth) this guy's powers.  Now think about that dude working for Hamas.  Or ISIS.  Or The Ten Rings.

I mean, if you're villainously inclined and you get powers (or tech, or magic) that turn you into a walking/flying weapon of mass destruction, you're no going to rob banks unless you're just stupid.  You'll go to the Mexican cartels, or Iran or Kim Jung Un and say "Make me an offer and I'll be your nuke."

Hey I have powers and my targets are rapists and child abusers. And anything else is just conveniance. If you get superpowers your first order of business is revenge. Then second is using them to get what you want power, fear respect, money. And if you want money you're not going to be some terrorist a organizations hooker for money. Bank Robberies are efficient because you are only beholden to yourself. Plus you gotta stay true to t your ideals

The Green Goblin's first appearance had him trying to destroy Spider-Man by convincing a Hollywood executive to make a movie about Spider-Man and offering to set up the fight scenes. That's a nutty scheme. Dr. Doom's first appearance included sorcery, a time machine, and the Thing becoming Blackbeard the pirate, not about Dr. Doom trying to team up with Khrushchev.

I'd much rather be told to fly to the Savage Land and fight dinosaurs because Ka-Zar said he saw mutants than deal with real-world socio-political situations dressed up in spandex.

And those stories took place in the wackadoodle 1960s.  We're in the wackadoodle 2010s.

I don't mind fighting dinosaurs in the Savage Land, but I'd also like to play with some of the grittier element raised by the idea of a team that seems to be "the bad fighting the worse."

I don't know about that (and it seems to be self-destructing without outside help).  I really don't want to get too much into US domestic politics because of strong feelings on all sides.

Presumably all sides can agree that ISIS is bad.  ISIS also uses child soldiers and "brides" for their evil cult.  So figure Harbinger would love to "talk" with them.  If Goblin wants to go after criminals, there's few more criminal than war criminals.  Like that.

And it doesn't have to be real world.  The 10 Rings from Iron Man can be a thing.  As can various evil corporate and national types.  Figure some version of HYDRA could be around.

You're all in for realism or all in for fictional analogs like how in the eighties Mutants were used to represent Minorities, AIDS victims, and the LGBT community
