The Hangar

Ok let's get on board and ready once White Witch give us the ok we'll be ready without too much delay,
He said as Wiliam open the Jet's door.

Jocasta, prep the jet for take off, White witch will open a portal for us to go through so adapt the speed to avoid over shooting the exit point.

Confirmed Sir. Making some adjustments now.

Once everyone boarded the door closed and the inside lit up. There were so many Displays and lit up buttons. it was hard to imagine anyone knowing what everything could possibly do.

as you walked towards the Cockpit there were benches that fit 5 about people on either side.
above the benches were compartments for each seat.

You could feel the Jet come to life as the engines came online.

Harbinger sat in silence on the jet , eyes closed beneath her mask. She knew her partner was definitely loathe to abandon her for a new host. But she new a neglectful parent shouldn't raise a child. If she couldn't provide what it needed. It would have to leave her for it's own good. Adrenaline and happiness were not the same thing. She rubbed her face through the mask. Focus on the mission. That's all she had to do.

Two Sat across from Harbinger unsure if William wanted her at the helm or not, It seemed he had Jocasta set to do the flying anyhow.

The creature before here was so menacing, But at the same time so fascinating. An Alien bonded with a human. Two was curious how that worked...

Does the bonding process hurt? she found herself saying without thinking. and making a small face not really meaning for that to have come out of her lips.

Bloodrager sat down... wherever. He wasn't picky about who he sat next to. But he did remember to look for a seat that had straps to be buckled in with, remembering other interactions with SHIELD personnel and vehicles. He waited to be tied to his seat with them.

"I had slashed my wrists open in the bathtub after fourteen years of my father trying to make a sequel to me. I'm not sure my perspective of pain is exactly the most helpful barometer. I remember sinking in the crimson bath water as the Darkness enveloped me. The sweet beautiful embrace of death. And then I was in my living room standing over what looked like ground beef in a wife beater. I didn't exactly give my consent but what else was new?" she chuckled darkly. She opened her eyes looking at the woman. "Why you want to bond with it? I am looking for a new partner for it in case i can't give it what it needs. " she asked casually.

White Witch:
Fishing through her satchel, she withdrew her communicator and began fidgeting with it, clearly not yet comfortable with its operation. "Hello? Hello? Hellooo?" She repeated until a reply came. "We have a situation in Austin."

William turned from the controls.
Yes White Witch, What's going on? William asked turning to the team. Maybe this flight would be shorter then expected.

Two winced a little at the back story, She couldn't imagine having to go through that and understood some of Harbinger's aggression. Who can you trust when Family treat you in that way.

Can't say i'm really looking to do that I have enough trouble now with my own thoughts when I gather too much information. Don't think sharing my mind with something else would be a good idea.
Turning to William when the message came in from White Witch.

Harbinger closed her eyes again ready to attack and destroy the threat at a moment's notice. Indeed reminiscing about the past stirred up her anger to the surface. She held doubts that she had a place here. On a team with a group of heroes who all focused on the forest. Her suit shifted uneasily on her.

When a voice finally came through the device, she was surprised to hear William's voice and not some secretary or operator. "William, there has been an attack in Austin. There are first responders present, so we are likely witnessing the aftermath of something." She said before explaining the scene. "Should we help or should we continue to Laredo?"

Proceed as planned. I think this is what is left from Ghost Rider's initial pass. you should be clear untill you reach where we need to be.

The Clanking of metal legs came up the ramp as Williams finished speaking on the Coms.

I managed to find 5 Grenades from green Goblin's locker. Nothing left in there worth using.
He said passing the bag of grenades to Two.

You're probably the one that would need these more then anyone here!
he says to her.

Are they in position yet? this insane chatter is enough to drive anyone over the edge.
he gathered his extra amrs and made a sort of seat to sit on while using one to brace himself into position.

From the front of the cockpit the front of the hangar changed from the steel wall and hangar doors to what looked like a window looking out into a baseball field. William heard White Witch on the comms before suddenly realizing she was standing in the new portaled doorway.

White Witch:
"Hello! We got there and are ready to go!" She called out. If after a moment there was no answer, she'd repeat herself through the communicator.

He waves to acknowledge her and turns back to the controls.

Jocasta take us through the portal, and land here onto that field.   The Jet’s engine start to hum and they headed into the portal. Rolling right out the door from New York to Laredo in less than 30 seconds
Well now I sort of feel slightly foolish for having everyone board the quinjet. Didn’t expect us to be right on target. he said reopening the hangar doors.

Once the team was all together on the field Williams set’s the first group to get ready and head out,

Exiting the field and heading into the streets south you could make out with many people seemingly just lying on the streets It wasn’t clear if they were dead or unconscious. Looking down the street you could see A few houses  were in shambles and smoke can be seen billowing from some of them and fire from others.
Lorado looks like It was in a civil war of sorts, or some sort or attack.

Orange = fire.
Black dot = dead
Red Dot= Potential People threats.

Ooc: I have updated 2 other maps…

First one is map one Where we are and just a little down the street heading south is the image on Group U
the whole route that was discussed was the map on Group T

The team compare their findings briefly, but the flight isn’t long enough to go into too much details before landing back at the base.
The team is met by Naslund in the hangar, Wanting to make sure everyone was ok, The mission should have been a simple recon and gather but had turned into a confrontation.

However Naslund didn’t seemed to disappointed as the team exited.
That didn’t quite turn out as expected but good work out there, were you able to gather anything? he asked

Kevin nodded at her.  "Good work.  It looks short range and they've probably moved to another channel to avoid compromise, but who knows?  Maybe it's longer range and they're kinda stupid.  Figure our best leads will come from the info we acquired, though."

He turned an eager look toward Darwin and Taskmistress.  "So, what info did we acquire?  Hopefully we didn't go through all that just to have a mild sparring session with some newbie baddies."

When the ladies handed over what they had Williams Smiled Thanks! he looked through the file quickly, saw some accounting info and a few odd notes scribbled here and there with some pictures.

This should prove interesting. taking hold of the laptop Jocasta will go through this and see what we can find. Great work team. We managed to get access to the camera’s a little late and saw what happened. Nice work on keeping the civilian’s safe and injuries to a minimum. Considering the surprise of Hammerhead’s team you guy’s did pretty good.

He looked over to Bloodrager No Bloodrager radio’s don’t have that kind of memory… think of it more like a different kind of telepathy except not in your mind. He tells him.

I’ll go over these with Jocasta and let you know what we find. In the mean time get some rest and clean up.

After handing over the reports she briefed Darkstar. "Phineas Strauss Alias Tinkerer was working on a project for Silvermane called The Sovereign Six. Silvermane gave control yo Hamhead because he was out of commission while Tinkerer was making him a new body The rest is just businesses they have". she grabbed her gear including her usual attire. "Now if you'll excuse me I've got to change out of this dress into something more comfortable and check on Anni." she headed to the door and looked back. "Nice job out there. You've got a knack for leading." she then went off to her quarters.

No Red They don't need a body for that. But speaking of bodies and the Doc, Guess he'll have a new project on verifying our now deactivated friend. He said watching the group disperse.

I'll get Doc to get him and bring him back to the lab, Kevin we can discuss on the mission later. he mentions as Kevin would probably have a few things he would like the others to work on now that they had their first mission under their belt.

William was proud of the team, this mission had gone much better than their first one. He turned and started to head to his office.

"He was a monster in his soul, and he became one in form too," Alison said regarding Strauss.    "It seems fitting."

Strauss had been stopped, a large wrench thrown in his Sovereign Six agenda.  Maybe for good, maybe not. Depending on whether the technology was known to anybody else.     Time would tell.   For now though, it was enough.

She put a hand to one cheek, a little gingerly.    She was bruised there, she was sure, from where that storm drain Speed Demon had deflected had glanced her.   First war wound...lovely.    Well, compared to a normal person, she seemed to heal pretty quickly.   Until it faded, there was concealer...

"I think I'm going to turn in for now," she said to Lois. "What we just did brought some closure with the past.   But, I've also got some stuff to process.  I'd love to hang out with you both in the near future, though."
