Monster threats come in 4 types:

--Critters: Most folks think critters are the least bad category, in general, because at least they aren't usually all that smart... But this is the largest category, too, so there's lots of variation...

--Revenants: dead things come back to cause trouble. Next largest category, and next-worst category, but at least you can usually shoot 'em...

--Ghosts: dead things come back to cause trouble-- but what's worse, they're usually not solid enough to shoot... This is the smallest category.

--Spirits: supernatural stuff that's even weirder than the other three categories. Second smallest category.
