Green Book: The Squint Skills Book


Squint Skills:
Squints very rarely appear on the front lines of a battle, but are the workers behind that make the weapons, create strategies, and invent things that will improve the warrior's chances on the battlefield.

The following list has been broken into major jobs of the Squints:
  • General Squint Skills
  • Tinker
  • Blacksmith
  • Technician



General Squint Skills:

#- Teach:4 pointsSquint is able to help a warrior improve a non-athletic warrior improve a skill naturally. (They do not have to be good at the skill themselves. Instead they can watch and see where problems are occurring and offer solutions to help correct those mistakes.  Upon successful Technique throw student will gain one level per instructional period. [+1D6 per skill level on technique throws]1 use per skill level.5 hours -30 minutes for each skill level.


Tinker:
Tinkers are able to build contraptions that are able to do things.  These are not weapons, they are tools to help accomplish goals.  By gathering items, Tinkers are able to manipulate them into creative contraptions.

Tinker can create complex objects given enough time, supplies, and energy.  Requirement: Like language a Tinker must state whether they are proficient in Water, Electric, Mechanical, or Solar. [+1D6 per skill level on technique throws]Tinker: 1 time per day/ Other: None4 Rounds

2 Points

Tinker works with professional care in the item they are building. Item has three times the durability and advantage on all rolls. [+1D6 per skill level on technique throws]Tinker: 1 time per day/ Other: None2 extra Rounds


Blacksmith Skills:
Blacksmith Skills focus on manipulating resources in order to develop weapons and armor.  While Tinkers work with non-aggressive non-lethal inventing, the blacksmith hones their skills into crafting weapons and armor to protect against claws, teeth, and the other weapons that might come up against the Warriors.

Technician Skills:
Technician's work in the lab understanding things and providing the means for solutions.  Technicians are careful and their solutions take time.  They understand the mysteries of the natural world, and because of that knowledge they are able to manipulate it.
