Martial Arts: Lane (Kyokushin Karate) vs Whisper (Muay Thai)

Whisper will bow to his foe, deeply, and with reverence.  His fight fist will bury itself in his left open palm as a sign of respect.  As he stands erect, Whisper holds his elbows high in the classic kickboxer's stance.  In a relaxed yet alert pose, he advances slowly at his foe, Lane.

Step and evaluate.  Defense will be a dodge.  If Lane returns his respectful gesture, Whisper will pause for a moment until Lane assumes his normal combat pose.

Martial Arts: Lane (Kyokushin Karate) vs Whisper (Muay Thai)

Lane stands alert and erect, sharply puts his right fist into his left hand and bows over it.  He then drops into a defensive stance and takes 3 steps forward.

All-out defense for aggressive parry.

OOC:  That's not Lane's updated character sheet.  It's also in the final character sheet thread:

Whisper notes the gesture of respect from his challenger with a curt nod of his head.  As they circle at a range of 6 yards, Whisper takes another step towards his foe, calmly feeling him out as he gradually circles to the right.

OOC Step and evaluate, defense will be a retreating dodge if attacked.

Good luck to you Lane.  :)

Martial Arts: Lane (Kyokushin Karate) vs Whisper (Muay Thai)

Whisper steps backwards to avoid the punch.  Lane's fist waves through the air in front of Whisper's face, missing by a couple inches.

OOC Base dodge is 9, +4 enhanced dodge, +3 retreating = 16
12:12, Today: Whisper rolled 13 using 3d6.  Retreating dodge 16.

Whisper responds with his favorite move.  As he steps forward with his left leg, his right leg swings high into the air in a circular shape, before arcing down towards Lane's exposed leg.

OOC Counterattack 15, using Targeted Attack (Karate Kick/Leg) 15.  I think the skills are averaged if I remember the test correctly, which averages to 15.  Subtract -2 for a kick, I believe.  Whisper will hit with his attack.
12:18, Today: Whisper rolled 12 using 3d6.  Counterattack 15, Targetted attack.

Whisper will use his shin as a striker, per the perk Special Exercises (Striker, Crushing with Limb, Shin) - that adds +1 damage per die.  Karate also adds +2 damage per die because he knows the skill at DX+1.  Finally, Whisper has Striking ST 1. Base damage is 2d-1 for a swing.  I originally mis-calculated this as 2d+4 (used "thrusting" by mistake).  That was wrong.  At Whisper's skill level, Karate should add a +2 to damage per die.  Thus, the total add should be +3 per die.  Whisper should be doing 2d6+6, so his damage output (assuming a roll of 10) should be a 16.
12:30, Today: Whisper rolled 14 using 2d6+4.  2d+4 damage should the kick to Lane's leg land.

As a reminder, you have a disadvantage to parry this attack.  perthe book, "Your foe is at -2 to Parry, (unimportant grappling reference), or at -1 to Block or Dodge.

Please feel free to correct me if I got any of this wrong.
