Baogang is controlled by Dblade and represents Tia Chi Chuan

They start out one yard in from the edge of the stone platform, on opposite sides. the platform is 10 yards across, so they are 8 yards apart.

Demchug vs. Baogang

I was going to do edits to Baogang's sheet, but I hadn't finished them so for now all I have is the 5 from Ambidexterity going into Improved Parry for a total of +3 and other than that it was unchanged.

Baogang is going to step forward and Evaluate.

Demchug vs. Baogang

Demchug moves 6 yards closer, in order to bring the fight to Baogang.

((Also... if the platform is 10 yards and we start 1 yard from the edge, doesn't that mean we're 6 yards apart?  Unless we each occupy no space.))

I think it's because we can move into Close Combat with each other (aka occupy the same in-game 'space') so that's counted towards our total?

Edit: Speaking of which, are you moving into Close Combat, or into one hex away?

In reply to Dblade (msg # 6):

One hex away.  If I were doing close combat, I guess I'd have to notate...

But, if we each occupy a square, the math doesn't work out.

Total platform length: 10 yards.
Starting Distance between B and D: 8 yards.
Distance of B and D from closest edge: 1 yard x 2
Area of B and D: 1 yard x 2

Distance between B and D (8) + Distance of B and D from edge (2) + Area of B and D (2) = 12 yards.

So, one of the variables needs to change, either:
1) The platform's 12 yards long
2) We started 6 yards from each other
3) We started at the very edge of the platform
4) We occupy no physical space.

Demchug vs. Baogang

Demchug, knowing well the lessons of his masters on the importance of not being left flat on his ass, got a flash in his eye and a moment of anime speed-lines as his hand deftly fended off the leg hooking for his leg!

That moment of weakness, the blank look... fingers curl into small wicked hooks as Demchug goes for the eyes with a deceptive rake!
