Walking into a couple stores

You mean ALL of these clothes are just ready to be bought?  Sure sometimes I have seen a couple dresses almost ready in the window, but there are 20 of them in different sizes on a single uhm... hanging thing?  Not just one but as far as i can see?

She gets a few people that stop and ask where she got her dress.

This looks simple, it shouldn't be to much.  I don't know how the numbers translate to something i understand.  Is this something that people might normally wear around?   Maybe something like what some of those people over there are wearing also, if it would be ok to get more than one set of clothing?  She points to a couple people wearing jeans and a t-shirt.  I think that might be good for every day?  what do you think.

9 million !?! In a single city?  Can people even move there packed in like salted fish?  I have no idea how many people total would be in the kingdom, but i am certain it would not be a number that large.

Do you have magic food creations?  How would you even get food for that many people?  Jaarenda is really working hard to comprehend a single city that big.

Thank you very much for the new clothing, is there one that would be more appropriate?  This one with the leather skirt is very nice, and this top is of a material I have never seen before.  So light and brightly colored.  The woman selling these items seemed surprised that I did not already have a purse.  Well that or my ears which she couldn't seem to take her eyes off.

Maybe instead of political things, lets start with basics.  I'm going to start with some things to keep me out of to much trouble.  I hope that some of the laws are similar enough.    People seem to be behaving like i would expect.    I think as long as i do the same kind of things i normally do i should be ok.

I best let you know that children of all social classes of this country are required to go to educational places called schools to learn reading, writing and understand at least the basics of mathematics or arithmetic as some call it.  Some people do slip through the cracks of the system but there are workers who try to make sure that does not happen often.

Yes Mr. Drifter, i would be happy to teach you Sperethiel.  You don't need to teach me to read common, i already can do that.  I'm not completely fluent mind you, but certainly enough to get by day to day.  I never learned any of the other languages as between Sperethiel and common you could get by just about anywhere.

Do you know this funny character language? (japanese as that happens to be another book near the one she just showed you)  Maybe this one?  There seems to be a lot of these books with this language with elves on the cover.

There does seem to be a quite a few women on the covers in very tight outfits.  Art always seems to be what people desire to see.  I guess it is good to see that all cultures and planets end up with women in clothing like this.

So are paid for their work and the more popular they are the more they can get.

Most of them have agents to promote them to companies and such.  If I was an agent I would suggest you add a Tiara to your outfit.  It is not unheard of for Nobles and The Rich to have open displays of their status.  It could also help in keeping your hair under control if you tend to get into physical combat.  Something with Amethysts... sorry but I think gold and purple are a good match and from your outfit I think you just might agree.  At least in part."

People get paid to look pretty?  Do you think that i would be pretty enough to get paid for that? OOC Striking Appearance +2  Gently caressing her ears. I understand that my ears would set me apart from humans and could be considered unattractive.

I understand, in my world people are mostly trying to hit you with swords and arrows, but here if they are trying to grab you i understand where being in something skin tight would be of use.  I think this outfit looks quite fetching, and I will use this cover as a base and work on getting something to replace my normal outfit  My breast plate should fit nicely over that also.  Would that be acceptable?

"Alas Jarry that is a big yes.  You will be needing some means of making money, some form of residence other than the streets and certain documents with information that can be used by the Bureaucracy to show you are not an illegal alien.  That being said I get away with not being a citizen well enough. But then I do not have the pesky need to sleep, eat or breathe for that matter.  Still I do need other forms of paperwork like a business licence for my storefront and the staff AKA friends I have working there.

Based on what you said, maybe i am best to not be a model.  Along with i would have a very hard time going anywhere and being obvious.

WOW!  Every single store i have been in here has loads of selections just waiting to be purchased.  That is so different, sometimes two or three, but there must be two dozen different kinds in just one case.

Well i guess i could tell you what kind of things i am good at, A lot of talking to people, acting, talking, trading, information gathering, and a few less savory skills like sneaking and lock picking. like all good adventurers should know something about.
