Combat Mechanics Topic

This will be where we post all the gritty game mechanics of our combat actions. I'll begin with a post with a subject line in the form of "topic containing combat - Phase X". After this post, anyone with an action in that phase in combat in the topic mentioned posts their action. Once all action within the phase has posted, I'll post the results and start another phase.
After the results are posted in this topic, those involved can post the RP related to their actions (including dialogue, etc) in the topic which contains the combat.

Manning Enterprises - Phase 2

Attack FIST with a Wing buffet attack. OCV 12 (9 + 3 LEVELS)
Rolled 11 on 3d6. Hits 12 DCV.
Physical Blast damage 12 BODY, 35 STUN, double knockback on 8d6.
Rolled 2 on 1d6 Knockback. 12×2 = 24 - 2 = 22M knockback.

FIST flies out of control, slamming into the building.
Rolled 22 BODY 74 STUN on 22d6 knockback damage.

GM:
FIST smashed through the upper part of the wall into the warehouse section of the building and has fallen behind some crates inside the building.

Mercury Mercenary makes a half move and lobs a grenade in NightHawk's direction.
Two overall levels on DCV, two levels on OCV with military weapons, targeting a hex 14m away (-2 OCV), OCV(5) + levels (2) - modifiers(2) + 11 - 3d6 = DCV hit (hex is DCV 3)
00:04, Today: The Great Karnac, for the NPC Mercury Mercenary, rolled 5 using 16-3d6.  MercMerc attack roll.

00:07, Today: The Great Karnac, for the NPC Mercury Mercenary, rolled 8,3 using 2d6,1d3 ((3,5,3)).
The attack would have done 24 STUN 8 BODY killing damage with 2m of knockback, but NightHawk's defenses prevent all but the knockback.

Flash attack on Mercury Mercenary

08:25, Today: Inferno rolled 8 using 3d6.  Attack roll OCV 8+11 (19-3d6).
Hit a DCV of 11 or less.

08:26, Today: Inferno rolled 41 using 12d6 with rolls of 4,4,5,3,1,5,4,1,3,4,2,5.  Flash Att. 10 points of flash.

GM:
Mercury Mercenary is 18m away (-4 range modifier) so your attack would hit a DCV of seven or less. Mercury Mercenary's DCV is 7, so you did flash him. As he's acted this phase, he can not re-act to the flash.

I suppose that preparing to dodge means that Vulture has noticed Impulse, but isn't otherwise reacting.  I'll leave the stealth roll there in case I'm lucky. :)

Either way, zoom past Vulture at full speed with a Passing Strike.

02:09, Today: Impulse rolled 8 (with 3 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Stealth 14-.

02:12, Today: Impulse rolled 8 (with 2 body) using 3 with the Hero (Champions) system.  Passing Strike - OCV 9.

If successful, to save time:

02:13, Today: Impulse rolled 54 (with 16 body) using 12 with the Hero (Champions) system ((6, 3, 6, 6, 2, 6, 5, 5, 6, 4, 4, 1)).

GM:
Vulture is unable to dodge the attack, which does 36 STUN and therefore renders Vulture unconscious. He begins his several hundred meter fall to the ground.

Temper faces in the direction of Inferno, Hatter, and StreetDemon and let's loose with an odd burst of energy. It spews forth in a cone and contacts all three of his targets.

00:49, Today: The Great Karnac, for the NPC Temper, rolled 37 using 9d6+1d3 with rolls of 1,3,4,5,1,5,3,6,6,3.  mind control effect.
00:53, Today: The Great Karnac, for the NPC Temper, rolled 12,16 using 4d6,5d6 with rolls of 2,5,1,4,6,3,1,1,5.  END drain on targets, AID to self.

    individual effect
  • StreetDemon, +24 effect so would perform actions he's normally against doing, loses 12 END which Temper gains
  • Hatter, +12 effect so would perform action he wouldn't mind doing, loses 12 END which Temper gains

Meaning she hits a DCV of 8+11-9 = 10.

Well maybe not:) he does not really know the words or the tune. Even if he did he would deny everything and demand proof.
