Lyric System / Craps System

The idea is a system that is thematically very hip hop, throughout the system.
But also the narrative and a setting that works for it too.
Unified themes.

I want it to be very focused on having a crews, rival crews, territories, independent players, law enforcement, illegal commerce, hustling, etc.

If you can quote a song lyric that benefits your action, you can get some kind of a bonus.

The idea is that the baseline 2d6 system is an unskilled check, wherein the win/loss/neutral conditions from craps apply. The baseline pass is 22%. The baseline fail is 11%. The rest is neutral, but what does that mean in the system??? TBD. Technically, it should be a not fail, but not pass. Maybe pass with consequences?

The idea for growth is that there are things that will let you add additional d6s.

Is there any role for the point? (456 8910)
Betting mechanic? (for those not rolling...could be interesting off turn engagement) It could be rolling a d12, and if it matches they get something.

IDEA ONE:

The active player is the shooter, and they make the standard 2d6 skill check, with craps results of success/fail/neutral. They can spend pool dice to remove one of the dice on the table and roll the pool die instead. They have to choose before they roll. This can be done as many times as they want.

Alternatively, they can set the pot.

Inactive players can choose to bet on the shooter. They wager a pool die and roll a d12. If the d12 result matches the shooter's next roll, they win their wager. If not, they lose it. (Alternative: They call the bet. Run the math on this option).
