CHARACTER CREATION: READ AT LEAST SOME OF THE BOOKS

Character creation:

1. Special Option: You get to choose ONE special option:

--You're good at magic (like Merlin, Fiona)

--You're good at combat (like Corwin, Eric, Gerard, Benedict)

--You've already got a Private World where you're the boss (like Avalon or that world Benedict had)

--You've got some sort of awesome magic item (I don't just mean like a deck of the family cards, I mean on the level of Grayswandir or that bracelet that Merlin had or I guess technically Ghostwheel)

2. Minor Option: You also get to choose ONE minor option from among these:

--You're good with The Pattern (manipulating Shadow, using Trumps)

--Special Study: You have one special area of study (Strategy/Planning, Shadows, Marksmanship, Riding, Haggling, Tracking, Other)

--Manipulation: (politics, diplomacy, charm, making alliances, causing friction among others, etc. Like Brand or Reynard.)

3. Stats: Distribute these scores: 16 (+2), 15 (+1), 13 (+1), 12, 11, 9, 8 (-1).

(Strength)     ......          STR :
(Dexterity/Agility)   ...   DEX :
(Constitution/Toughness) CON :
(Intelligence)   ......        INT :
(Perception)  .......           PER :
(Willpower)    ......          WIL :
(Charisma/Personality)   CHR :

Keep in mind that these are not human stats. These are Amberite stats.
--An Amberite with a STR of 8 can still break down the average door without trouble.
--An Amberite with a CON of 8 can still shrug off disease and fatigue better than the average human... heal a little faster and better than the average human, too.
--An Amberite with a WIL of 8 still has a strong will next to the average human.
--An Amberite with a CHR of 8 is still decent-looking-- maybe even gorgeous-- it's the abrasive personality that brings down the curve, in such a case...

Other details: You get one extra point to spend...

4. Looks: On a scale of 1 to 11, where 7 is "notably better than average" and 9 is "TV star" and 10 is "huge movie star in his/her prime," how good-looking is your character? (Do not choose lower than 6, you're an Amberite.) (Choosing 11 means you spend your extra point.)

5. Money: Money has never been a problem for you... but spend your extra point to make sure you have a lot of liquid assets you may spend later on one really big thing (like arming a small army worth of soldiers, say).

6. Gear: You start with whatever gear you want to carry around... you have a Load of 6 plus your STR bonus (or penalty).

7. Damage:
--If you chose the Combat special option, your damage die is d10.
--Otherwise, your damage die is d8 against non-supernatural threats, d6 against supernatural threats (including other Amberites etc.), although it might go back up to d8 if it involves your specialty (Marksmanship, say).

8. HP: Your HP starts at 18 plus your CON bonus (or penalty). (Spend your extra point to get 3 extra HP on top of that).

9. Background You are the child of at least one Amberite (tell the GM who you'd like it to be, or maybe you don't even know yet) but choose where you are from:
--Amber
--Rebma
--Earth
--One of the Shadows near Amber that it has political dealings//trade with
--Other (The Courts of Chaos is NOT an option).

10.  You have a signature color, and a secondary color (and, if you want, a tertiary color, but that's optional). You are drawn to wear them, to choose only accessories in your color scheme... Name your colors, please... And describe your coat of arms, your symbol...

11. The other details will come later: specifically, the GM will talk to you about the other details...
