Arcadia Animal Refuge

Sitting on 50 acres, the Arcadia Animal Refuge specializes in rescuing and caring for creatures that are in danger of or a danger to the mortal world.  It is designed with a central compound for receiving new animals, helping with recovery, health care, and when needed relocation of the more dangerous animals to larger preserves in less populated parts of the world.



Arcadia from the surface looks much like a botanical garden, which keeps the animals happy.  The main building is mostly glass.  The animals in the lower area have indoor/outdoor enclosures with play structures and heated areas for the winter.  The common pool area where different intermingling species take turns playing even includes a waterfall. The sanctuary also has 26 large species-specific habitats that are home to larger creatures, including a magically domed aviary.

The Refuge houses many smaller caretaker creatures who nurture the plants and landscaping.

The more magical and supernatural residents of Sanctuary are welcomed to come and tour the pathways around the Refuge.  Mortal residents find being around the refuge somewhat a vague experience- they remember puppies and kittens, but little more than the feeling that there really isn’t much there to be interested in.
