Heathens Game

Basics
Name: Kipper Althea Walton
Gender: Female

Physical

Hair: Red
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'4''
Weight: 108

Social
Background:  Old Money-  Walton Family

Primary Clique: Nerd
Secondary Clique: Nobody
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Mental
Major, if decided: Forensic Science
Minor, or Second Major, if applicable: Anthropology

Goals/Aspirations:
Forensic Anthropology is less of a goal and aspiration as it is her current fixation.  Kipper has Hyperthymesia.  Consequently her fixations are heavy and deep, and result in many achievements.  They will be replaced with other focuses.  For the moment if you were to ask her she'd say that her end goal is to determine the fate of the Harrapan Empire.  This is not her first fixation in this direction- when she was 14 she spent 38 weeks in her bedroom trying to decipher their writing system.

Assets and Strengths:
  1. Memory- Kipper's memory is based on perception.  She remembers everything but only what she percieves.  So if she is listening to a conversation and chooses to make a shopping list- she will remember the conversation word for word until she looks down and then will remember all the items on the shopping list.  The conversation will not continue in her memory until she focuses on it again.

  2. Intense focus- Kipper if motivated can give up sleep and need for food to solve a puzzle, riddle, or question.

  3. Organization and rational systematic approaches to chaos.  Kipper is not disturbed by chaos- she is quite adept at solving problems while all others are scrambling around.  Once she has the solution, she will implement it or propose it if she is unable.  Rarely does she work by committee.

  4. Encyclopedic knowledge. There is very little that she hasn't come in contact with on some level.  She can usually give you background to anything that you want to talk about.  Whether you want to hear it or not- is not always the case.  :)

Liabilities and Weaknesses:
  1. No physical prowess- if you are planning at winning at anything athletic, Kipper will inevitably stop that from happening.  This stems from a high disinterest in sports.  She does not enjoy being sweaty, bruised, or beaten- thus sports has never appealed to her. Any attempt to get her to participate in said athletic challenges- will involve lengthy discussion and result in a less than half hearted implementation

  2. Near null Social IQ- Even though she is able to remember everything- she has very little working ability to talk to peers or pretty much anyone else without seeming distracted (a defense mechanism- to avoid remembering the conversation) or she will miss subtle things like sarcasm or body language that will give context to the sentence.

  3. Fixations- There is always the danger of her becoming fixated on something- and she will be unable to do anything else until she either resolves it or becomes distracted.

  4. Irritation with people who demand her attention without having meaning behind it.  Because she remembers everything stupidity and information that will take up space but hold no merit is highly irritating.

Statistics
Physical: 1
Social:2
Mental: 5

To the GM's- Not sure what to do with the other two points- She's smart, not athletic, and follows the isssue of the higher the IQ the bigger problem they have with social interaction.

Description

Kipper is a 18 year old girl with a slight build and a somewhat rumpled exterior.  Because of her fixations, her esthetic tends to be based on ease rather than fashion sense.  Her hair cut is basic and usually tangled into a cascade of red unruly curls.  She wears glasses with functional frames- given she's so good at breaking them in her studies.  She wears layers.  Usually some sort of t-shirt overlayed with a sweater and a blazer.  This allows her to functionally change her temperature depending on whether she's cold or hot.

Her style can be quite dated at times.  A good portion of her wardrobe has been taken from her grandfather's closet or possibly her uncles.  She does have a few bits and pieces purchased by her mother or other members of her family for birthdays, christmas, etc- but all in all her fashion has been all about "I need it, hunt it down, add it to the wardrobe, rather than looking for an outfit."

Her shoes are functional.  Most of the time she wears canvas boat shoes.  White with the red white and blue stitching and white laces.  They are rubber, have a good grip, and make little to no noise when she's moving about researching.

Most of the time when Kipper moves it is following a book, searching for a book, or writing in a book.  From time to time she walks without a book, but she keeps her eyes moving- partially to keep herself from focusing on anything too long.

The question of fitting in- would result with the question, fit into what?  Which explains everything.  Kipper is fairly unaware that she doesn't fall into a clique.  She is unaware that cliques exist.  So no... no she doesn't.

Personality
Kipper exists 80% in her mind and 20% in the real world.  It doesn't matter whether it is part of her fixation or that she is simply reviewing experiences of the past, but she rarely is focused on the here and now.  As mentioned before, this is a defense mechanism.  By being distracted, events don't get locked into her memory.  Her head gets quite full none the less leading to  more distraction.

Kipper is neither vicious nor is she kind.  Ambivalent is the best word for it.  She looks at life in connection to all the history she has read and finds that society has changed little in the years of human existence.

As to whether she is fresh meat- being from old money- most things are replaceable and those that aren't have usually been met with more protective responses from her Uncles and her cousins.  In terms of how other people see her- she is most likely considered fresh meat.

Kipper is somewhat unaware that people do not think or more importantly remember as she does.  Because of that she gets exasperated because she assumes people are being intentionally obtuse.

Above all she is very willing to help especially if something interests her.

History
She is the only daughter and only child of Sid Walton.  Sid, his brothers- Edward, Robert, and Lee inherited a small fortune from their oil-tycoon uncle four decades ago and have built it up to a combined $8.2 Billion dollars in the amusement park industry.  This is not the only money- the Walton Brother's parents (Kipper's Grandparents) Perry and Nancy Lee are worth at least 5 billion.  Kipper and  a handful of cousins are the presumptive heirs for the family.  Since she is the oldest daughter of the oldest son it is assumed that she will inherit a sizable fortune.

Kipper has already published in several scientific and historical journals- she has published under her middle name "Althea Warner" since Kipper seems less than academic.  She has a number of patents under her name that have begun to churn money.  Attending Lockheath seemed like a logical institution to pursue her latest goal of becoming a Forensic Anthropologist.  She has been fixated with the Harapan civilization since she was a child and this is her latest approach to unraveling the mystery.  She is also dabbling in AI to pursue deciphering the Harapan language.

There is another reason:

Generally, her Father, Uncles, and Grandparents have been amused by Kipper and her fixations.  A few have led to great improvements to the amusement park industry- including an AI component to a Virtual Headset used during a mega-coaster experience.  Only one person has not been pleased with Kippers peculiarities- her Mother.

It is Abby Meyerbrook-Walton's hope that Kipper will manage to burst the bubble and exist in the outside world.  While she is proud of her daughter- she feels that the bubble Kipper has built around herself is a detriment.

She convinced (Bribed) Kipper with the opportunity of Lockheath by offering a Foundation that Kipper would be in charge of that would help a research opportunity of her choice. The amount in the endowment will be based on her time spent at Lockheath as well as a list of "experiences" that Kipper can try to accomplish that will add multipliers to the number of grants she can give out of the foundation.  (Experiences include: Attending a Dance- With a Date, Watching a movie without a book, Attending a football game, etc.)  While these experiences might seem mundane to a normal person- to Kipper it is a real challenge.

Kipper was able to choose the school she wanted to attend.  Lockheath according to her research resulted in the highest expectation of her learning something while meeting her mother's goals and funding her foundation.

Hooks

  1. Because of her mother's challenge- Kipper is approaching social interaction much like she would anthropology- so she's observing students to determine how interaction between students her own age is conducted.  Are you being observed?

  2. Kipper has little to no moral compass when it comes to doing other students homework.  She enjoys it, they don't- why not?  After all they could just use ChatGPT and then no one will enjoy the assignment.  She might as well do it in exchange for favors when she needs them.

  3. It's possible your character might have had some sort of uncomfortable social interaction with Kipper.  This is not her mother's first attempt to insert her into the world of her peers.  Most experiences have been failures.  Several birthday parties where one of the family's amusement parks was closed down save the wealthy children of her peers- usually ended with her disappearing into the Ferris wheel to read or she got distracted tinkering with an engine.

  4. Kipper has had several inventions that are in contest with other people who claim the same invention or bit of research.  It is possible that a legal battle has occurred with you or a member of your family over legal rights.

  5. Maybe you are being paid by Kipper's mother to be her friend and try to make the social element of Lockheath a success.

Heathens Game

Basics
Name: Bentley Rockefeller
Gender: Female

Physical

Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Hazel
Height: 5'7''
Weight: 120 lbs

Social
Background:  Old Money-  Pritzker Family

Primary Clique: Popular
Secondary Clique: Gunner
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Mental
Major, if decided: Business
Minor, or Second Major, if applicable: Political Science

Goals/Aspirations:
Bentley doesn't want much out of life- only to control the world.  Her eyes are not set upon the realm of politics, though that would be a stepping stone.  Her ambitions rise higher.  She wants to become an ambassador by the time she is twenty five; at the very least get a Nobel Peace Prize, and more importantly become one of those people in the smokey room that make the really big decisions in the world.  She knows about that world because of generations in her family who have done just that since the Gilded Age.  She is one of eight heirs to the Rockefeller fortune and is determined to be the one who get all of grandpa-pa's power.

Assets and Strengths:
  1. American Royalty- If there is such a thing, and it is, Bentley is considered American Royalty.  Her family founded Harvard.  Her great grandfather receives entire chapters in textbooks.  Her family helped to build America during the Golden Age, helped pay for both World Wars, and then went on to make the world government a thing. There is power in being that connected.

  2. Polished- Bentley has been to finishing schools, has had private tutors, she's had a press agent since she was nine.  She has been groomed to be the American Princess that she is.

  3. Ruthless- Bentley may seem like a nice girl, but get in her way and she will end you.  She is as mean as she is nice and has no problem wielding her fortune to nuclear attack anyone who might try to diminish her tiara.

  4. Brains- Bentley may act the dumb blonde but she's not an idiot.  She's wicked smart and rarely has to study to pull the 4.0 that she has.  More importantly she's aware and strategic.

  5. Queen Bee- Bentley knows how to work a crowd.  She is everyone's best friend and is always there with a complement and a smile.  She understands that networking is key.  After all even Rockefeller had to work with Hurst and Carnegie.

Liabilities and Weaknesses:
  1. Bentley is lacking in any awareness of how the lower classes live.  While she has done tons of service and philanthropic work- there is always a distance, a shower, and air conditioning when the day is over.

  2. Bentley is not much for athletics.  Sports leads to getting dirty, besides the uniforms are never natural fibers.

  3. Along with this, Bentley is not an outdoor girl.  The closest she gets to camping is a cabana on a beach.  She cannot wrap her head around why anyone would want to sleep on the ground, take a shower from some sort of bucket, or go hiking.  Exercise in the modern world can be done in a gym with a personal trainer.  No need to live like some sort of pioneer.

  4. Difficulty trusting people- It's said you always react to every relationship through the mirror of our own soul.  Since Bentley considers everyone a potential ally but also a potential enemy, she assumes everyone does the same.  Because of this, she's only made a few deep friendships in her life that she would trust.

  5. Paparazzi Magnet- Bentley has not known many moments in her life where there weren't flashing cameras and shouting reporters.  Consequently she's very rarely had time that is her own.  The family mostly hunkers down onto their private property, but Bentley has always found that claustrophobic.  As a result she has gone out into the world and has become reporter candy.

Description

Bentley is a 18 year old girl with a curvaceous build.  She is polished and if ever found anything less than perfect- you can be sure that it is calculated.  Brittani has an entire staff of shoppers dedicated to make sure she is the height of fashion.  Hair to nails to shoes- Bentley has always known that the world is watching.  She wears designer clothes both modern and vintage.

She is aware that she is representing her family and her future self- so she's careful not to over indulge.  One photo can ruin a future political career.  One bad relationship can end up on Oprah when you're trying to maneuver into a sweet spot in the future. All of these aspects are always on Bentley's mind. She doesn't indulge in drugs, over indulge in alcohol, or participate in activities that might end up with some photo on the internet.

When Bentley walks it is with purpose.  There is a bounce to her step and most of the time a big smile on her face.  She will always give a little wave with her polished nails and enjoys a quick air kiss just to let everyone know that she's your biggest fan. Bentley enjoys commanding a room.  She is intimidating and intense in a way that is unavoidable but tends to leave you wanting to thank her for letting you exist in her presence.

Personality
Bentley is everyone's friend- she's perky and gives off he air of being a little ditsy.  That is right up until you pay attention.  You can disarm most people by being clueless, and Bentley makes that part of her strategy.  She is always there with a complement and a smile.  At least that is the surface.

Below the surface Bentley is a conniving bitch and she knows that.  There is armor beneath that fluffy bunny exterior.  She takes insults as reasons to destroy the person doing the insulting, and she relishes the long game in taking that person down.

Her friends she rewards- handsomely.  The closer the friend the more power she pushes in their direction.  It is a trait she learned from her grandfather, and her great-grandfather before him.  Right now Bentley is looking for her future career ring.  Those people she knows will remain loyal and will help build up the new Golden Age of America.

History
There isn't a person who hasn't heard of the Rockefellers.  The infamous family that created Standard Oil, the Rockefeller Foundation, Chicago University, Rockefeller College, the Lincoln Center in New York, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and Chase Manhattan Bank.  Their family has been considered one of the pinnacle old families of the world.  Their foundations continue to provide funding for the most prestigious Ivy League and elite colleges in the nation including Harvard, Dartmouth, Princeton, University of California, Stanford, Yale, Brown, and Columbia.  The family runs several foundations that support the arts, build museums, and provide the world with philanthropic pursuits.

The children are brought up to entertain Kings and Queens, run multimillion dollar corporations, run for political office, and to mediate world affairs.  The family was first established in 1723, and over the 301 years- they have bloomed into helping run the world.

Bentley P. Rockefeller is one of eight heirs to the family fortune.  Like most old money, they have their trusts, which were established for them when they were born.  Bentley like her brothers, sisters, and cousins have met with their grandfather once a year to establish their goals for the coming year.  It is a long stressful conversation where the children are called to accounts on whether they have improved the family's standing or stagnated, or diminished it.  That meeting establishes a ranking within the family. Bentley has maintained one of the top three positions since she turned twelve, and has battled with her cousin John D Rockefeller IV for the top spot since she was sixteen.  This year she holds the top position and her grandfather's admiration.  That admiration opens the vaults to her needs.  Bentley chose Lockheath.

The reason to come to Lockheath is simple.  Her mother and father both attended.  She is legacy and as legacy she is expected to exceed her parents success while attending.  There is also an expectation to set up potential alliances and connections which will lead to future successes.

From an early age, Bentley was tutored.  By the time she went to her first private school ad the age of five, she was reading at a fourth grade level.  She attended Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut.  The same halls that developed JFK and Adlai Stevenson, helped hone Bentley's political demeanor and polish.

At the age of nine she received her first publicist and press agent- Becky and Dave.  At the age of twelve, she fired them and hired her own.  Richard Brant and Amanda Johnson- since that time she has kept a finger on how she is promoted in the news.  Generally everything that is put out in the world is positive. There is a rumor that the reason that the National Enquirer went out of business in 2019 was because they published an article insinuating that Bentley was behaving badly at a Hollywood party.  A fleet of lawyers descended and by April AMI sold their paper to the Hudson Group.  While Bentley and her grandfather do not have any direct connection to Hudson- it was the banks owned by the Rockefeller family that set up the transaction.

Last year Bentley made the decision to follow her mother and father to their alma mater at Lockheath. While she knows it will be a challenge- the school hardly lives up to the standard of living that Bentley is accustomed to living, she is more than happy to rough it for the advantages that the school provides.

Hooks

  1. Old Money that nurtures- The Rockefellers are known to promote talent and greatness.  Showing worth can result in a windfall of money- if they believe in you.

  2. Political power- Bentley's family has members throughout history who have been Governors, Secretary's of state, Vice Presidents, and Senators.  To connect to Bentley is to connect into that great political power well.

  3. It's better to be her friend than her enemy. Bentley is nice- as long as you're nice.

  4. It is possible that if you are old money that you've connected with Bentley through many of the organizations she belongs to.

  5. It is possible if you are new money, that you have been invited to the Rockefeller estate to determine whether you should be allowed into the inner circle of the US Elite.  The success rate is a scant few- but if you have been deemed worthy by her Grandfather there is a certain level of protection that Bentley is required to do.

Heathens Game

Basics
Name: Elizabeth (Bitsy) Lancaster
Gender: Female

Physical

Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Hazel
Height: 5'4''
Weight: 110 lbs

Social
Background:  Old Money-  Lancaster  Family

Primary Clique: Popular
Secondary Clique: ????
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Mental
Major, if decided: Business
Minor, or Second Major, if applicable: Political Science

Goals/Aspirations:
Bitsy doesn't want much out of life- She wants to help the polar bears and those whales that look like unicorns, because it would be so sad if they died too... oh and seals- at least the cute ones.  And then she'd like to help her daddy with his fortune- you know making sure that it gets all the compound interest and the other financial stuff that sometimes alludes her.

Assets and Strengths:
  1. American Royalty- If there is such a thing, and it is, Bitsy is considered American Royalty. Her great grandfather receives entire chapters in textbooks.  Her family helped to build America during the Golden Age, helped pay for both World Wars, and then went on to make the world government a thing. There is power in being that connected.

  2. Polished- Bitsy has been to finishing schools, has had private tutors, she's had a press agent since she was nine.  She has been groomed to be the American Princess that she is.

  3. Positive- Bitsy is sunshine.  She rarely thinks ill of anyone.  She is not the sharpest bulb in the drawer, but every ray of sunshine is full of genuine positivity.  It is this bubble of positivity that has made up for her wiring issues.

  4. Kind- Bitsy is a genuinely nice person.  She thinks well of others and normally assumes that those who are mean are just having a bad day. She is horribly naive in the fact that she believes the world is a truly beautiful place.

  5. Bitsy is a former gymnast and cheerleader.  She is coordinated and is good at ariel stunts.  Throughout the course of her life she has taken ballet, tap, jazz, movement, and stage combat- she can do some real damage with a chicken leg, broadsword, and foil (Stage of course)

  6. Creative- Perhaps because her head is so in the clouds, Bitsy is highly creative.  She can think way out of the box and can realize those ideas if given the latitude to do so.  It is these moments of genius that genuinely confuse everyone including Bitsy.

Liabilities and Weaknesses:
  1. The wheel is turning but the hamster is dead- Bitsy is more than a little clueless.  While she means well and thinks that most of the time she knows what is going on, rarely is that the case.   She is not entirely stupid.  From time to time she can spout some truly brilliant things, but usually at the wrong time, in the wrong place.

  2. Selfishly well-meaning- Bitsy will fix things if she perceives they need to be fixed. She will throw money at problems to make people happy, being totally unaware that she has created a social faux pas. Bitsy never considers asking- why wouldn't someone want their life better?

  3. Flibbertigibbet- Bitsy is fairly unreliable.  This is mostly because she gets distracted and things slip out of her mind.  She talks usually about nonsense which others can find annoying.

  4. Everyone's best friend- Even if they don't want it.  She's like glitter. Once it gets on you the sparkle never goes away no matter how much you really want it gone.

  5. Paparazzi Magnet- Bitsy has not known many moments in her life where there weren't flashing cameras and shouting reporters.  Consequently she's very rarely had time that is her own.  The family mostly hunkers down onto their private property, but Bitsy has always found that claustrophobic.  As a result she has gone out into the world and has become reporter candy. Due to her personality the photographers have a field day with her unbridled enthusiasm and absolute ability to be a ding-bat.

Description

Elizabeth (Bitsy) Lancaster is a 18 year old girl with a curvaceous build.  She is polished and if ever found anything less than perfect- you can be sure that it is just because she's not being managed that day.  Bitsy has an entire staff of shoppers dedicated to make sure she is the height of fashion.  Hair to nails to shoes- Bitsy's family has always known that the world is watching, so accordingly Bitsy sets the standard for fashion.  She wears designer clothes both modern and vintage.

Bitsy when left to her own devices can usually be found in jeans and a t-shirt usually with something fluffy on the front.  She likes animals, flowers, butterflies, and rainbows on shirts that are generally a little young for her age.  Because of that she ends up looking more flirty than she means.  She is usually found eating candy of some sort.  Lollypops are a favorite, since her family forbade gum.

When Bitsy walks it is with enthusiasm.  There is a bounce to her step and most of the time a big smile on her face.  She will always give a little wave with her polished nails.  She is the type of girl to notice the pretty flowers, but not necessarily the crack in the sidewalk.

Personality
Bitsy, now that she's on her own, tries to be edgy.  She tries to be real and disconnected... she tries, and it is about as successful as a Disney Princess doing black and white jean ads for Calvin Klein. When it comes down to it, everything she loves just happens to be in shades of pastel especially pink- and fluffy.  Oh she loves fluffy.

Bitsy doesn't have it in her to be rude to people.  Sometimes in a fit of frustration, she wil talk under her breath and be sarcastic, but outright rude?  She can't and if she manages it- it bothers her for days.

Mostly she is a bit of a goofball. The general notion among those that know her is that she's just one of those people who lost out on the mental lottery, but it's sure nice that she's enjoying it.  Generally Bitsy finds it nice to be dismissed.

She is amazing with children and animals.  Most crying babies settle down when she's around and generally the animal life tends to like her, which comes with its own set of problems.  She has been forbidden to begin a pet collection while at Lockheath.

Bitsy has a creative mind.  She loves making chocolates, pastries, cookies, cakes, and ice cream.  She's a little persnickety about her candy finding most mass produced chocolate an abomination.

History
There isn't a person who hasn't heard of the Lancasters.  The infamous family that dominated the world of money during the Gilded Age. The Lancaster family has been considered one of the pinnacle old families of the world.

Elizabeth Lancaster is one of eight heirs to the family fortune.  Like most old money, they have their trusts, which were established for them when they were born.  Bitsy like her brothers, sisters, and cousins have met with their grandfather once a year to establish their goals for the coming year.  It is a long stressful conversation where the children are called to accounts on whether they have improved the family's standing or stagnated, or diminished it.  That meeting establishes a ranking within the family. Bitsy has run 8th every year.  While she is known to make her grandfather chuckle, her accounts always seem to be confused and she and her grandfather end up playing chess.

The reason Bitsy has come to Lockheath is simple- her mother and father both attended.  She is legacy.  Normally, as legacy the family would expect her to exceed her parents success while attending. When it comes to Bitsy there is an open account so that she'll retain a position despite... well

From an early age, Bitsy was tutored- though whether it did any good is questionable.  She attended Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut.  The same halls that developed JFK and Adlai Stevenson... with Bitsy they did their best and got a new library and athletic field out of it.

Last year it was decided that Bitsy would follow her mother and father to their alma mater at Lockheath. For Bitsy this will be an exciting adventure!  She's especially thrilled to be away from her parent's and grandparents focus.  The school hardly lives up to the standard of living that Bitsy is accustomed to living but given enough time she'll have a design crew, caterers, and an architectural team in to make it- perfect!

Hooks

[olist]
[*] Old Money that nurtures- The Lancasters are known to promote talent and greatness.  Showing worth can result in a windfall of money- if they believe in you.

[*] Political power- Bitsy's family has members throughout history who have been Governors, Secretary's of state, Vice Presidents, and Senators.  To connect to Bitsy is to connect into that great political power well.  (Though let's be honest- she's more of a conduit than a implementer of the power)

[*] It is possible that if you are old money that you've connected with Bitsy through many of the organizations and clubs she belongs to.

[*] You might know Bitsy from the countless magazine and tabloid reports about her.  All of them are harmless.  Quite a few are of her saying something foolish or clearly blindly optimistic.  The articles are kind, because rumor has it her grandfather killed the National Enquirer in 2019 after publishing a mean spirited article about his grand daughter.

[*] It is possible if you are new money, that you have been invited to the Lancaster estate to determine whether you should be allowed into the inner circle of the US Elite.  The success rate is a scant few- but if you have been deemed worthy by her Grandfather there is a certain level of protection that Bitsy is required to do.
