- Desola of the Durten - Chief Priestess. Wise, ancient, and mysterious.

- Inkarne is a devotee of Nandan, God-Talker of Ernalda, and Initiate of Chalana Arroy. Married to Bartien the Redsmith.
- Eldresa of the Murval family, Novitiate to be initiated as a Priestess of Ernalda.
Independent
- Sandien, daughter of Hasketu, shaman of Daka Fal.
- Mother, the name used by Sandien for the woman who lives with her. She is elderly and apparently insane. No one knows if this is actually Sandien's mother or someone else.
- Weismoor, itinerant Priest of Lhankor Mhy.
Durten
- Danbal, son of Ovardul, Runemaster of Orlanth Allfather in the form of Durev the householder. Chieftain of Jelmine, and leader of the Durten.
- Arale, wife of Danbal, mistress of the Durten Hearth.
- Bartien, son of Almirin of the Durten Bloodline, is the town Redsmith. Runemaster of Gustbran Bonesmith, god of Redsmiths.
- Heortan, son of Bartien. Apprentice redsmith.
- Donigur, son of Teriegen of the Durten bloodline, is a Runemaster of Barntar.
Murval
- Anrin, son of Korigon, Runemaster of Elmal. Leader of the Murval family.
- Farin, son of Korigon, Runelord of Elmal. The leader of Jelmine's weapon thanes.
- Lieka, wife of Farin.
- Eldresa, the wife of Anrin, Priestess of Ernalda.
- Kevaten, son of Jorngur of the Murval Bloodline, is the master hunter of the town. Runemaster of Odayla.
- Aranda, young woman (16), daughter of Farin, who helps Sandien from time to time.
Garlin
- Varinton son of Najourn, Runemaster of Argan Argar. The leader of the Garlin family. Father of Magora, Priestess of Xentha.
- Yareina, daughter of Sadene, wife of Varinton of Garlin, Priestess of Ernalda.
- Orvieldon, son of Jungar of the Garlin Bloodline is the master Brewer of the town. Runemaster of Minlister, the god of ale and brewing.
- Saljean, son of Najourn of the Garlin Bloodline. One of the few traveling merchants in town, and a Runemaster of Argan Argar.
- Lonrella, wife of Saljean, is the mistress of the mushroom caves.
Lunar Fort
- Commander Jalmon, son of Pharanges, great nephew of Havar Ironfist. Age ~35.
- Kana, wife of Commander Jalmon. Had a son two years ago. Age ~35.
- Anasan is the owner of a tavern/trading post inside the fort (Etyries's Respite). Age ~40.
- Yasmin, Anasan's wife. Serves as the tavern and troop cook. Age ~40.
- Hofal, Anasan and Yasmin's son age 15.
- Bree, Anasan and Yasmin's daughter age 16.
- Astrelia, seamstress and artisan around 30 years of age. She is the only person of the fort who has regularly gone into town. She has made friends with many of the women in town and has attended many public religious ceremonies as an observer.
- Gulk, Witch of Jakaleel, Seeker in the Darkness. Enlo (trollkin). She always wears the mask of Jakaleel. From the Blue Moon Plateu.
- Zuzorek, troll of the Blue Moon Plateu, he has four arms and winks. He carries Gulk where she wants, and defers to her judgement. If asked, he responds with "this is as the Mothers desired."
- Idovanus. Preceptor of the Lunar Way, Illumination Examiner, Priest of Sedenya, Initiate of the Seven Faces of the Goddess, Lunar Consort. These are the titles that have been used to describe Idovanus, or what his robes may signify. In your peripheral vision, you can see a red glow surrounding him.
- Nadakar - Idovanus's cousin. Nothing else currently known about him.

- Large Female Troll - Zelda, Shaman-Priestess of Kyger Litor. The leader of this troll band.
- Lead Clad Troll 1 - Chankalan, Kaarg's Son, Runelord of Kyger Litor.
