"Halt, there is a chaos horror ahead. Throw torches into the darkness ahead. We need to see what we are fighting. All missile users shoot on 3. 1,2,3.

Gilren switched to her bow when she threw her torch in. Casting multimissile 2 before firing.

Her spell failed but her arrow flew true to the creatures head.

"If this thing is not of our world you will need some spell on your blades and bolts to hurt it." Tamarkorda shouts to those preparing to engage the entity. He tries to grasp the shoulders of Bingling and Saberak and says "Henetha! Saberak! Binging! wake up! your ancestors raised you, you owe them; your descendants need you, you owe them. Each of us must try to fight on; we owe us.

With Strength on the mace he holds, Bingling will engage whatever monstrosity faces them (he may miss details, for he is relying on Darksense, his eyes closed to prevent confusion and shadows from the guttering torches).

Re: Scene 2 - Jelmine

The aura of wrongness pervades the room, making everyone's head swim a bit.

[Private to Gilren Starseeker; Oligur Jaffez; Sanuzi Asar-Girru; Tamarkorda: The creature before you is in vivid colors of green, red, purple, and black. The room is vast; your eyes cannot find the opposite wall.  What feels like a wind circles counter-clockwise in the room.and from the center, the very bottom of a whirlwind can be seen.  This whirlwind is incredibly tall, and that is when you realize there is no roof that you can see.  You realize that you cannot hear the voices of those who have become indisinct: Bingling, Henetha, and Saberak.]

[Private to Bingling Hyxloriz; Henetha Hofaktsdottir; Saberak: The creature before you is an diaphanous monstrosity in black and white.  The room is only about 20 feet in radius, the ceiling only about 15 feet high. You realize that you cannot hear the voices of those who have become indistinct: Gilren, Oligur, Sanuzi, tamarkorda.  The only thing that is not indistinct is the True Stone in Gilren's pouch.  You can see the physical form of the True Stone through the indistinct pouch.]
[Private to Bingling Hyxloriz: Beneath the creature your Dark Sense picks up an object, something stone perhaps.]
[Private to Henetha Hofaktsdottir: Beneath the creature you notice a stone.  You noticed it because it is not the same color or texture of the floor or rocks in the wall.  It appears to be shaped and smoothed.]
[Private to Gilren Starseeker; Oligur Jaffez: You notice what look to be wispy tentacles or ropes leading from the creature to the ground.]
[Private to Sanuzi Asar-Girru: You notice chains holding the creature to the ground.][Private to Tamarkorda: You see it perfectly clear.  The creature is bound to an object in the material world; not bound, part of the object.  The only way to describe it is a pure manifestation of chaos.  You know with out a doubt that if the truestone touched that object, it would be destroyed.  (Love it when a 1 is rolled).  The problem that you now realize exists is that Gilren is with you in the spirit world, and the object will have to be destroyed on the mundane plane.  Perhaps you or Sanuzi could Spirit Dance or Spirit Travel between the connected worlds, or if nothing else, move the True Stone.]

Gilren's arrow flies straight and true (occurring before we move into rounds), but the arrow seems to pass through.
[Private to Gilren Starseeker; Oligur Jaffez; Sanuzi Asar-Girru; Tamarkorda: The arrow flies through the creature, but the arrow caused ripples in the creatures form.  No matter how you attack the creature, the damage is equal to your Spirit Combat Damage.]

"I think it is the root-stalk of this maniacal mushroom!"

Bingling would like to ignore and dodge the flailing monster to strike at that stone in it and under it, knowing that it may break his matrix but feeling that the risk is worth it.

Re: Scene 2 - Jelmine

Combat

SR 1
SR 2
Creature Attacks Gilren:  A tentacle lashes out at Gilren, attempting to ensnare her.  Gilren deftly dodges out of the way.
SR 3
SR 4
Creature Attacks Saberak:  A tentacle strikes out at Saberak, but does not make contact.
SR 5
SR 6
Creature Attacks Oligur:  A tentacle whips toward Oligur, but is too quick. The touch of the tentacle causes Oligur's armor to dissolve where it touches (no abdomen protection currently), and the flesh beneath begins to darken.[Private to Oligur Jaffez: You have 1 HP remaining in the Abdomen, but the pain is intense.  There is now a penalty to your to hit.  The dice roll says dodge, but I meant to write Shield Parry.]
Gilren swings the bag containing the True Stone, striking the Chaos Creature across the right side of its face.  There is an ear splitting howl of pain and rage as the True Stone connects.  The True Stone is ripped free of the bag, then falls to the floor.  [Private to Bingling Hyxloriz; Oligur Jaffez; Saberak; Tamarkorda: The screaming of the creature is too much to take; your ears bleed from hearing its hellish howl.  You have a penalty to all actions this round and next round.]
Summoning his strength, Oligur strike the creature, doing 8 points of damage to it.
SR 7
Bingling attacks the stone: Being non-moving, the stone has no ability to dodge, granting Bingling an easy target.  Bingling strikes the stone, and the haft of the mace breaks under the strain.  The stone is left undamaged.  The lead head of the mace is scratched (the haft took the brunt of the damage), and the reverberation of the blow has thrown Bingling off balance.
SR 8
Creature Attacks Gilren:  A tentacle flays at Gilren, but does not make contact.
SR 9
SR 10
Creature Attacks Gilren:  A tentacle lashes out at Gilren, but does not make contact.
SR 11
SR 12
Creature Attacks Gilren:  The creature attempts to bite Gilren, instead biting onto her spear.

[Private to Henetha Hofaktsdottir: You see the True Stone laying near the black, corrupted stone that Bingling struck.]
[Private to Sanuzi Asar-Girru: You dance around the creature, but realize that the creature is now totally focused on the one who weilded the True Stone.  The True Stone lies on the ground near the Chaos Creature.]

Re: Scene 2 - Jelmine

Tamarkorda invokes his god's aid to shield Gilren from the tentacles of the monster and then draws his broadsword to try to parry any of its attacks. He tries to keep an eye on Oligur's backend abdomen when combat allows.[Private to GM: At SR 0 cast Shield on Gilren relying upon Fertility Rune (75% target, I'll roll for it). Tamarkorda is worried Oligur has the encountered poison that turned defenders of Jelmine into chaos horrors, if he sees something that he regards as confirmation he will try to wrestle Oligur our of combat and treat poison playing for time in the hope that others defeat the monster and the poison evaporates with its master.]

Re: Scene 2 - Jelmine

SR 1
Yu Kargzant hears the call of Tamarkorda and surrounds Gilren Starseeker in a ring of fire, with the tongues of the flames ending in what appears to be the heads of horses  (Gilren +4 AP and Counterspell).
[Private to Tamarkorda: Calling upon the Sun Horse in this realm has consequences.  Your affinity for the fire rune increases by +5%, but you loose 5% from your Earth Rune.  The rune symbolizing Yu Kargzant is branded into your left shoulder.]
[Private to Sanuzi Asar-Girru; Tamarkorda: Gilren called upon the Death Rune last round, and the effect is beginning to show.  Her form becomes darker, as if it is moving in shadow.  Even the fire of Yu Kargzant is not bright enough to illuminate on who is filled with death.]
[Private to Gilren Starseeker: Last round you called upon the Death Rune.  Your affinity for the Death Rune goes up by 5% (this is permanent), and the Death Rune now appears as a scar on your right hand.  You gain the passion hardhearted at 25%.]
SR 2Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, but the blow is parried by Tamarkorda.
SR 3Henetha attempts to cast at the Chaos Spirit.
SR 4Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, but instead, the tentacle whips around, hitting the creature in the face (8 HP)
SR 5
SR 6Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, but does not connect.
Oligur swings, and again hits the creature (7 HP damage).
Gilren stabs with the True Stone, but over compensates from the dodging she has had to do from the creature, as well as the friendly attempts to parry (Fumble 70 is impairment of vision 50%, instead of vision, you are recovering from the overcompensation for 1 round).
SR 7
Bingling takes up the mace head to smash the rock.  [Private to Bingling Hyxloriz: The rock is undamaged, and actually appears to be welded to the ground.]
SR 8Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, but does not connect.
SR 9
SR 10Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, but does not connect.
SR 11
SR 12Chaos Spirit Attacks Gilren, biting Gilren in the Abdomen for 8 HP damage (1 HP gets through your armor). The fangs of the creature drip with its saliva, and you are sure some of the saliva was injected into Gilren.

[Private to Gilren Starseeker; Oligur Jaffez; Sanuzi Asar-Girru; Tamarkorda: The wind in this abyssal space is beginning to pick up.  If it gets high enough, you risk being thrown by it.]

Panicked at the danger to his discorporate friends, Bingling wonders if he can swallow the stone whole by gnawing at the bedrock to which it is welded.

If it is too large, Bingling casts a quick glance around for other weapons before trying to bite anything that looks like a sensory organ.

Re: Scene 2 - Jelmine

SR 1
Some of the damage done to the creature is healed, but not all of it (OOC:  It can regenerate X HP per round; last round you got over the threshold).
[Private to Gilren Starseeker; Sanuzi Asar-Girru; Tamarkorda: Oligur seems to grow taller (to about 9 feet), and his skin takes on a reddish hue.]
[Private to Gilren Starseeker: The poison has started to take affect.  You loose 10 HP.]
Oligur calls upon the Goddess, and she answers.  A creature of Moonlight and Earth, towering ten feet in height appears and turns its attention toward the Chaos Spirit.
SR 2
Tamarkorda and Sanuzi both begin to move as if dancing. Tamarkorda moves toward Oligur while Sanuzi moves toward Gilren.  As they dance, each of the party members becomes visible to the other (OOC:  You are now all on the same plane).
As they were moving between worlds, the creature lashed out again at Gilren, who blocked the tentacle with the True Stone.  The creature again howled in rage and pain.
SR 3
Henetha releases her magic against the creature, which suddenly begins to move slower.
Bingling bends down and attempts to take a bite out of he black stone.[Private to Bingling Hyxloriz: It tastes bitter and foul; it is the foulest taste you have ever experienced.  Your instict is to spit it out, but you muscle through, but it does not seem to give to your teeth.  In a moment of inspiration, you call upon the Darkness Rune to use the all consuming power of presence of Darkness to destroy this thing.  You suddenly feel the antithetical nature of the Rune and this stone.  You spit the stone out of your mouth.]
Bingling goes flying back across the room and hitting one of the walls.
SR 4Oligur body slams the creature, moving the creature off center from the black stone, further slowing the creature.  The creature howls.  The maneuver positions Oligur between the creature and the rest of the party.
SR 5The creature again lashes out at Gilren, but Tamarkorda is able to block the tentacle.
SR 6
SR 7  The Lunar Earth Elemental, who to all of you seems incorporeal, slams into the Chaos Spirit.
SR 8
SR 9The creature again lashes out at Gilren, but Oligur is able to deflect the blow with his shield.
SR 10
SR 11
SR 12

The Chaos Creature is still present.  The creature is obviously going after the person holding the True Stone. Some of your tactics have helped to slow the creature's attacks.

[Private to Sanuzi Asar-Girru: Since you are close to Gilren, you can see that there are dark lines coming from where she was bit.  ]
