If your character is willing to do field work under the direction of a teenager with no applicable skills or experience for that sort of thing, and who cannot communicate directly with several members of the team, that it his business. Killroy is not.
Especially when there is a Corp and a Fixer present who are far more qualified.
Hell even agreeing to work in a situation where we can only get paid via one person is a lark that makes no sense to me.
