He closes his eyes for a moment..turning his thoughts inwards..imagining what it must have been like when huge swarms of his kind filled the night sky..only to be hunted and slaughtered..images of what the earth must have looked like back in the old days, before it was raped by man..and then thoughts flow into his head..pictures of Gaia's chosen gone bad, of what ick and blackness must have seeped and tirn thru them for Bat and Pista to have such hatred of them..

and deep inside, he feels it..an anger growing..rumbling..a fire within him..

(go ahead and add the dot)

 hes able to focus his Rage while still  a bit weak the Fires burning hotter now.

he still wont suffer Frenzy's that easily.

He looks over at Pista, feeling that percolating, for lack of a better word, deep inside him, not saying anything, wondering if he did it right, if it's obvious that he tried to do what he was told, if he did it right and the man can sense it..

Thoughts flowing thru his mind..

"Hope I don't have to do that again..I can feel it and don't like it..and I think I get why he says my friends might be weireded out by me some now..I kind of weirded myself out"

He smiles

"As your rage grows stronger you become more aware its like a fire, Fire can be used to cook to light the Way, to  clear dead bush, and as a weapon, but it can also be very dangerous once its out of control.

He nods and smiles, still feeling what's going on inside him..

"I'm very well aware what can happen when it's out of control..or when we think we have it bent to our will and get sloppy and the flames roar and off they go..I think I'm understanding that Rage is a dangerous tool, and I have to be extra careful not just how I use it, but how big and powerful I let it get"

nods at that.

"Shall we retire for the night Tommorow to some practice on the range?"

He smiles..

"That sounds like a plan to me..but would it be alright if I went and sat outside and just enjoyed the night for a bit first? I won't do anything that might be..noticed..by the wrong people"

nods "Just bat sightings could lead to notice, but I trust you my friend" He advises and retires.

He nods and bids his friend a good night.

Making his way out in the back yard, he finds a spot in the grass and just sits, looking up into the night sky and letting it wash over him, just taking it in, thinking about everything and nothing, a moment of peace and quiet, something he's had very few of lately, breathing in the night air, the silence, and even chuckling a bit, tho not for long..

"It's not like I was planning to change..tho I have to admit it would have been tempting..he must have thoughts like that himself sometimes..I'm glad he knows I'd never betray him or his family like that..especially with some of the things he's told me"

Feeling himself tense a bit, he pushes the thoughts from his mind, closing his eyes and laying back in the grass relaxing..

he can sense the moon overhead

and feels his rage growing Stronger.

His brows furrow when he feels the sensations..

Smiling when he feels the moon, feels it making the night complete, like the arrival of a visitor he wasn't expecting yet is glad arrived..

and yet the heat inside pulls his attention..the boiling that he felt earlier and thought he'd put a comfortable lid on, boiling inside him like a pot of water left too long on the stove, and he tries to calm it and himself..to soothe what he's feeling with calming thoughts, like when he's trying to focus for a test in his den back home and his mind wants to go in several directions..

he feels outrage righteous hatred seething from the moon and feels its power flow through him...

His eyes open..darting around before focusing on the moon above him, his heart racing as he tries to get a grip on what he's feeling, what's going in inside him..He's felt so much since he found out what he was, sine that first night that called to him, when the moon brought him outside..but this is different...He feels it in every part of him, every cell, and in a way he welcomes it even as it scares him, welcomes the heat, the fire in his belly, that burning he knows would show like actual flames in his eyes..

And he reaches out..reaches upwards..as if trying to touch the moon herself..

he feels it reaching back to him...

He can feel something else inside him..something pulling at him, trying to ground him in more ways than one...

His word..he gave it that nothing would happen..and it's always been his bond..

yet there she is, so near..calling to him..wanting him to come to her..

the fight is inside him, on one level he wants to do what's right..on the other..he wants to join her, His moon..to be with her..

(No it was just him feeling Luna's love, not some kind of possession or such)

Luna loves him silently and has taken great interest in him.

There are times in his young life, that Samuel has made thngs way more complicated than they need to be, has overthought that which is so simple, and has gotten himself in a tizzy over nothing..

and Tonight, this moment, was one of those times..

It takes him a few moments, to push clear his mind..to sop worrying about honor, about respect..about the fire inside that Pista has helped him fan and what it could mean..

Deep down, beneath all of what he was so worried about..he feels it..and he smiles..

Not quite what he imagine's his mom feels, yet very much the same..he can feel Luna's love..feels her looking down and smiling in a way..and feel where in his heart she touches, and his smile grows, he feels it in a way as well..and it feels right..feels wonderful..

and he feels whole, is how he'd put it.

he feels the sheer breadth of Lunas Love through the night...


Michelle is coming out in the morning he can hear her wondrous song as she prays to the rising sun...

Time had passed in what seemed like an instant..yet also had felt like the longest, most wonderful, soothing, amazing night, Luna's breath, her touch still on and in every part of him as his eyes open..

and blink a few times as the sun makes it's presence known, it's warmth washing over him as well..

As much as he would love to hear more of her song, her voice beyond wonderful, he doesn't want to intrude, and so as best he can, he tries to sneak thru the yard and back into the house.

Things are quiet in the house...

after a bit Michelle comes back in and begins on breakfast.

He smiles, glad things are still quiet since they won't be for long, not that the house is ever very noisy, but families have a kind of ambient level of sound.

Gathering together a change of clothes since it's time, he makes his way to the bathroom, washing his face and hands, brushing his teeth and changing, a question coming he needs to ask Pista, and he smiles..

"Always more questions" he whispers to himself, bundling his worn clothes and taking them from the bathroom with him as he heads out.

things are going well enough She goes about her work smoothly.

Making Waffles this morning she smiles "Howd you like your eggs sir?"
