"From what you tell me, there isn't much your Tribe isn't into, as far as organizations that run things and making things happen..how do the other Tribes feel about it..or does that matter? or is it just the way it's always been?

"true enough, they frequently are caustic towards us on the issue comparing us to Vampires" Pauses "We haven't discussed them yet have we?"

Setting his glass down since it seems now is not the time for a refill, he looks around for a moment, trying to remember what Bat might have said about them that night and realizing it wasn't much, not wanting to just fall back on what movies and the like have told him.

"No we haven't, but I'm guessing it's not a good think to be compared to them"

She come in with another Daquiri smiling.

He nods "Its not. Not at all. other tribes snidely compare us to them , until they NEED our influence     in which case they beg or demand it"

rolls eyes


"Take care friend some garou compared your people to the Vampires too, why in part the war of extermination happened in the first place"

He takes it with a smile.. "Thanks"

Sipping as he listens..

"A story as old as time..and I imagine you give that aid..for a price, am I right?

He tales another sip..then smiles. more ironic than pleasant..

"I've been wondering things like that since I first found out..how many of the old legends and stories were people seeing my kind and not knowing how to handle it, being overwhelmed by it.."

sighs "Some Camazotz truly were corrupt and what difference was their between them and vampires?" Shakes head

"Not much to humans I fear"

He sighs as well. staring into his drink for a moment..

"Or to you, in a way, I bet..bad is bad...evil is evil"

He begins, waxing poetic without even realizing it..

"I think I'm beginning to understand why Bat is so scared, in a way..at least a little.. and I know I'm so new at all this it's not funny..but I swore once and I do so again..I'm going to do right by my people..with my actions, and by bringing them back in the right ways.."

He pauses, looking at his friend for a moment..

"Or die trying...it's why I ask so many questions..want to learn everything I can..so I'll be ready..be prepared..to fight whatever I have to in whatever ways I can"

nods "Would you like to when we go out to the Range eat a little from the dutch oven?"

He smiles..

"That sounds perfect, I've only has food made from those once, been wanting to try again"

(awesome, I got a friend that teaches a class in dutch oven cooking, I have had all kinds of things made that way :) )

smiles  "We could go hunting together you and I with the rifle?" suggests


"Doubt we could manage it as beasts as we'd go after such different prey"

He sips his fresh drink and smiles..

"That sounds like fun, I'd love to give it a try"

His smile grows bigger..

"I'd say that's an understatement for the ages"

smiles and nods


"Ive got a shotgun read" smiles.

He laughs..

"Of course you do..and for my part, I've played some hunting games"

Something occurring to him..

"Do we need permits or licences or anything? as you said, we shouldn't do anything to draw attention "

nods "I Keep my license up to date, doubt they'll make an issue of me showing a friend how to hunt"

He nods...

That makes sense and you're right..so whenever you think would be good, I'm game..tho I've had a few drinks tonight so maybe not yet"

He smiles..

"Tommorow when I was going to take you to a range anyway"

He smiles..

"Perfect, I can learn about different kinds of guns and using them in different situations..that can only help when I get into a situation where I need to use one to save my butt"

nods "I showed you that one firearms simulator its expensive but I think you could afford it"

He nods..

"Yes you did and I'll definitely get it, but I'm sure, as good as it is, there's no real substitute for the real thing"

He sips his drink as they talk savoring the flavors again..

"Can animals tell what you are even if you're in this shape? I mean yes, we're both shifters, but you're a predator...can they sense that?"

nods "They can sense it, so can humans they don't  know that your a shifter but can sense that 'somethings wrong with him'

And this gets worse as your Rage gets stronger... the flipside is that only by strengthening your rage can you accomplish many things such as easier shapeshifting, being able to resist pain, activating some gifts"

He nods..

"I think I understand, I'll have to be extra careful about it, especially around my friends back home"

Hi brows furrow as he tries to make sense of what he just heard..

You make rage sound like something I can train or exercise..but how is that possible? I know people can learn to control their temper..but to make it worse?"

lifts an eyebrow "You were seriously injured by trying to shapeshift more then once?"

"Stronger rage makes it easier to bypass such problems at a terrible price, everyone who meets you will feel threatened and what they feel isn't wrong, you will feel the Rage just beneath the surface yourself"

pauses

"Look at all too many "Development projects with animals slaughtered, forests leveled, you'll find it easy enough to grow your rage"

He nods..

"Not to the extreme you saw during the ceremony with Screech, but yes, I've had it go bad besides that time..if there's away to not have that happen, I'm all for it..I love changing..but not that pain.."

His words trail off as what that time felt like runs thru his mind and he shudders before beginning again..

"My friends will still be my friends tho..even if they're more on eggshells and not sure shy..and yes, it sounds like a major price to pay for it..but I'm willing to try"

He thinks about what Pista said..

"or think about someone messing with my family..that'd sure get me going"

pauses "Friendships MAY be lost but not all at once and if you learn the gift persuasion I think you can preserve friendships easily enough" smiles.
