Re: A return from extinction

In reply to Capricious Wyld (msg # 136):

Reid will explore the estate to the extent they'll allow him, get some food and then relax.  There isn't much else for him to do.  "So who are your friends?" he asks.  "They obviously have money so my family and whoever this one is move in the same circles.  There's a chance I know them, or at least have heard of them."

Re: A return from extinction

"Well," Reid says after a bit, "I don't know anything about your history, or any of this really, but I guess we'll see where this goes. I do look forward to, hopefully, having some answers."

With that, he'll simply wait with nothing more to do other than send a private message to his brother. "You'll see some stuff on the news, let the fam know I'm ok but I'm out of pocket until further notice. Talk to no one, you never got this from me.  Delete this once you get it.

Reid will wait for thew newcomers introduction before introducing himself, taking note of their dress, mannerisms, and anything else that would make them stand out.  "Reid McCrae," he says when asked, offering a handshake in greeting.

In reply to Capricious Wyld (msg # 148):
Reid takes a breath considering the man's words. "I admit, that's a bit heady because I do t have any context. I don't even know what happened and didn't think I was anything beyond another rich kid before today. Honestly, I'm still trying to process it" He says and shrugs his shoulders helplessly I'll accept any help you provide but what am I supposed to do?"

In reply to Capricious Wyld (msg # 150):

Reid will cock an eye. "That simple?  What, I need to go round up a harem of some kind?"  The question has merit but the incredulous tone in his voice over the absurdity of even asking it belies the fact that he thinks it's more than a bit crazy.

"Well, then I guess we had better get to it.   If I'm this important, and as you say people want to kill me. We need a plan. I'll need bodybguards, safe houses, a place to learn I suppose, because I know nothing of this" he indicates everyone. "then we need women" he says ruefully, half jokingly, realizing how stupid that sounded.

"Say somewhere in europe?"

Reid thinks about it for a bit. His recollection of Europe was shaky at best.  "I spent six months in Budapest on a bender so I don't really remember it all that well and then a year in Stockholm, Sweden, at university once my family got me sorted out." He nods. "That wouldn't be a bad place, it's populous but also remote if you find the right place.  Only one problem, I don't speak Swedish but if we do it, That probably should be the place."

Re: A return from extinction

In reply to Capricious Wyld (msg # 160):

Reid cocks an eyebrow but keeps his thoughts to himself.  This whole thing is moving way, way too fast for his liking.  "Do you really think they'll figure out who I am that fast?" he asks, more rhetorically than anything.  "First things first, I guess we'll need to get out of town, or at least move out of my current apartment. I'll head over there now and clean it out.  I can get the important stuff AND then hire a cleaning company to "make it nice" as if I was still there.  No way a rich kid like me would clean his own room."  He'll chuckled at the last, saying it light heartedly trying to lighten the mood.

He considers things for a moment. "I will need to make some sort of excuse to my family as just up and moving would raise a lot of unnecessary questions." He pauses again.  "When do we need to leave?" he asks finally.
