Bard Things
Enough people were interested so I figured this deserved its own thread

General Bard Changes
Magical Secrets- May poach only 1 spell from another list. Learn the other spell from the bard list

Lore Bard Changes
Bonus Proficiencies- may also pick from tool proficiency list
Magical Secrets- Learn 3 extra spells from the bard list. No spells from other lists. Keep general new magical secrets for non level 6 magical secrets

Several questions:

1. General Bard Magical Secrets state that you get additional spells again at 14th and at 18th level. Those are split in the same way I take it? One from bard one from a different class?

2. Instead of getting one extra spell for the Lore Bard Magical Secrets can I suggest giving an additional spell slot? Because we'd end up with a variety of spells but not enough slots to use them. Additionally that's a pretty big nerf you got there and it makes Lore Bard a lot less desirable...

3. Why is this even necessary? What is so scary about spells from other lists? What if we run all spells by you for approval before taking them? That way you'd be certain we aren't taking anything too OP while still getting the regular Magical Secrets.

1) Correct

2) Suggestion noted and will be pondered. Yes it is a large step down in power. However it is still comparable to the other bard archetypes. 5e is generally low in spell slots

3) Variety of reasons. Simply put a decently built bard is an amazing generalist while simultaneously being the absolute best at whatever he decides to focus on(Excluding some very very stupid multi class shenanigans). Restricting the quantity of poached spells and delaying it to later levels should keep bard from being able to simultaneously do everything best. While on paper "on request" is generally a good method of handling such matters, historically anything of that nature has gone poorly at my tables

Gotcha. I still have time to think whether to go lore then. Are you going to be nerfing Glamour as well? I need to know that and whether you agree about the spell slot before I can make a decision.

Leaving glamour alone other than the general magical secrets change
