Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

Siobhan Mohan:
"I could use a coat, too. I'm not decent." She also looked around, there was the metal around but it was all attached so nothing she could use. Maybe she should have thought things through a bit better, not come down here. But, hindsight was 20/20.

Roberto finds a line of labcoats hanging from a rack that he can throw down to her. There's also a ladder at the far end that people should use when they're not being knocked over the railing or jumping down to save people. Doesn't anyone read the signs anymore?

There are more lizard-men scurrying about in the levels below, but they seem to be terrified of the dragon. Siobhan has a few precious moments to reach the ladder before they hunt again.

Frank feels like he got hit by a steamroller, but he's still alive. He comes to just in time to question his sanity as the reptilian behemoth's wings blow dust and papers about when it rises from the pit.

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

Roberto replied as he takes a lab coat, and lightly tosses it over to Siobhan. Here is a lab coat to make yourself decent. Behind you is a ladder which you may use to climb up. Sorry for inconvenicing you with that manner of dress, but it seems to be the only one I can find. Unless you desire the shirt off my back. he says this, partially in jest, but also partially in earnest. A Lab coat wasn't regular attire, and might have others pay attention to her. His clothes would do much the same if they were given to her, but he doubted she'd take his offer, and if she did. He would wear a lab coat instead. He also had no idea if her pantaloons were showing if they were he suspected she might want his pants, and he would give them freely. Though, this entire matter made him think he should find a material that could resist basic forms of damage. To wear on himself in a manner of a costume, but more stylish.

"Thank you. As for your shirt...maybe later." She was a bit flirtatious, it wasn't as though she'd just been in a life and death struggle. Although, the cuts on her abdomen and arm weren't exactly sexy. She slipped on the coat and climbed up. <Rose>"Thank God they didn't kill me, I thought I was a goner."</gray> She played it up for anyone still here before going to Roberto and speaking far quieter. "I can't exactly go out in public and help, though. I'm a bit too recognizable and I don't want to be in the newspaper tomorrow. Maybe I should deal with the other creatures before they get out as well."

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

You know. There has to be a way to deal with that. I was thinking of investigating a manner to get clothes that would be resistant to simple slashes though. It shouldn't cost too much for me to pursue that matter, and as you are the one that made me realize it was a good idea. I'll tell you my findings. Though,
Yeah I shouldn't find Kraven either. I am going to be using him to gather more information down the line, and it would be risky if I got into a fight with him do to  my situation. So, is it alright if I join you. Though, frankly I offered it mostly due to that factor. We were seen entering together by the party guests a lab coat would be more likely to attract additional attention than it would be to dissuade it. So, I do hope we find a means to better conceal yourself.
Roberto replied. He was flattered, and he wouldn't deny he was attracted to her, but he was too well aware that many a girl might play that angle to take his wealth if nothing else. That was a plus of the Hellfire club, no strings attached sex. As a result, he wanted to play it cautiously, and if that meant he didn't have many girlfriends then so be it. He could wait, and there were many women who would want to marry a rich man like him even of he had the wrong skin color in this country.

"Well, this isn't something I plan on doing as a hobby. But such clothes could be useful. As for Kraven, if he does much more collateral damage I may be forced to do something. Oh, and I have another dress here. I, well I decided I wanted to come and someone in security recognized me as an actress and thought I was here to be a waitress. So I kind of changed from my wet clothes into this borrowed dress. Honestly, it was a good thing I did." She didn't care about money. She had no real need for anything material and her new job paid more than enough. When you only need to eat for pleasure and don't need any heat for the apartment it was far easier. "Oh, if my skin gets paler and my eyes turn red while we are down there please run. I would rather not hurt you."

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

Of course. And well I'm going to have a shelf life of less than an hour. I only have so many uses of my powers before I need a recharge, exemplified by the darkness that's surrounding me it clears up once I get recharged. I doubt the dress isn't still wet. Roberto smiled when he said it. He hadn't been able to explain that to as many people as he would have liked. He was more pragmatic. The darkness that surrounded him both literally, and figuratively made him.

"Well, that's interesting. Is it the Sun or Fire or some other source? And I'm sure the dress is still wet but it's better than," she showed her current dress, at least the shreds that were left of it. Her wounds clear as well. Closing the coat up, she headed down. These creatures, were they once people? They had scraps of clothing but their state, if they were it was better that they move on.

Anything that generates warmth can power me. a furnace, burning building, uranium. The sun is slow, but even that will power me up in time. So, what about you? What's the specifics of your power? You seem to have an ability to go feral, and you don't fear injury, or death. Why? Roberto replied following her.

"Simply, I'm already dead. I think the feral is a side effect of my travels in the underworld. Some sort of scars that the hellscape has wrought. At least I like that better than it being a part of me. If I don't die I'll heal over time, if I do then I'll come back and maybe I'll have gotten lucky and go through a better place to get back to this world." It was a strange thing to say, but two people knew now. One who would help her and another who may be an ally.

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

Roberto was shocked for a moment. There was an afterlife, an actual afterlife. Sure, he had heard about it in the past, but he wasn't a christian didn't believe God would create a world such as this if he didn't, but in this world there was an actual afterlife. It took him several moments to respond, but when he did he said. I'll be, Thanks for telling me. It's surprising to hear that there's an afterlife. I always thought It was a big poof, but Thanks for telling me. I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't come in usefully in the upcoming battle. So, when I misspoke you said something that made me believe you cared about the dragon. So, why did you decide to eradicate the lizard folk, and not deal with the dragon?

Frank comes to his senses, having had a minute to think to himself. He hadn't been disarmed like that in a very very very long time. This made Kraven become a threat and piss off Frank a bit. He had to get to his gear, if he did, he'd stand a chance. Powered with a newfound anger and determination, he gets to his feet, moving to whatever was around to get back the way he came, he was going to run to the vent where his gear was. He didn't say much, only, "I'm dealing with the dragon." as he sprints off to get his gear. His head was forward with eyes straight and a mindset on one thing: Kill Kraven

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

"I just know there's something. I mean, I die and can communicate with the dead. But memories of my myriad deaths are hazy, more dream or nightmare than solid. Ephemera would be a better way to describe my thoughts. And, yes, I wanted to meet a dragon, but this creature didn't seem like a wise, ancient being and the fact that these creatures would harm children. Someone has to stop them. And if the kids we're for the drain that's hardly a being I want advice from. I'm just looking for answers about my own state and how to bring an end to it. I'm  hoping revenge if I find my killers but if that doesn't work I'll be forever stuck in between." that prospect frightened her. She knew there was something else, something she may only get to learn about in glimpses.

You know, If you need help catching your killer. I can help. I have resources I can use to aid in that endeavor, but I'd like to ask a favor in exchange. I plan on working with The Roxxon Corporation in the future, much like an undercover agent, and find out the truth of the organization. The problem is I need someone to keep me grounded. Unfortunately, I don't realistically have anyone I can turn to. Those that I know are nothing, but work associates to me, and those that I loved are either too far away, or have passed away.  Roberto replied. He did honestly want to help, and he did need help, so he figured why not kill two birds with one stone.

"I would appreciate any help. Though, if that am a revenant it will be the end of me once I get my revenge. And I hope I am one. but, what do you mean by keeping you grounded? And how do you know you can trust me? I mean, I did sneak into this place before I knew it was an evil, child killing cabal of lizard men. Although, other than my being a vengeance undead type I doubt I will be dying any time soon. At least it won't stick." A bit of gallows humor, she needed it.

Re: [SCENE] Beneath the Pavillion

Because you decided to eradicate lizardfolk when you had the clear opportunity to do otherwise. You had wanted to see, and talk to the dragon, and when You learned that the dragon was vile instead of leaving, and not helping. Like anyone else. You decided to stay, and clear out lizardfolk. I hadn't even realized there was such beasts until you brought it up, and that's how I know I can trust you. You could have let a man fall into a pack of them, but you went out of your way to kill them before they could kill him. That's exactly why I think I can trust you. Besides, that a promise to help you means you would be motivated to help me in return if you truly are motivated to catch your killers. Also, a counterpoint you snuck in here, I was invited, and knew that the man was most likely evil in some form, and accepted it without having any intention to save the day when I got here. When, we met. I was motivated to help the man, even though I knew he was evil in some form, and still didn't think about that, because He was a good conversationalist, and a useful contact. Roberto replied.

As Roberto and Siobhan flirt and banter, Frank Castle shrugs off his injuries and climbs up another ladder to the surface. Meanwhile the hissing and scraping of claws from below grows louder. You hear a momentary scrape of metal and a feel a faint vibration as something grabs the ladder below.

"It seems I should as well. How about we do more of the same, but now you can throw the occasional fireball. I'll go down, you distract and I'll...tussle. It worked before. and I'm a bit better designed for the fisticuffs. If I die, though, please take my body somewhere quiet." She waited for a response before getting to it.

<gray>"That should work. Just be a distraction and I'll do my best."<gray> She handed him the labcoat, no need in losing a second piece of clothing and she dropped down onto the creature below. If they overwhelmed her at least she could take some with her to the other side. She just hoped her body would last. It wasn't as though one practiced for this sort of thing and she had no clue about the absolute limited of her flesh. It was stronger but still weak.

One gash, one scrape after another, one foe after another. The darkness in Siobhan grows colder and feels more solid as it prepares to claim her once and for all.

That is, until a huge orange boulder crashes through the pit, sending the beasts falling through with it and shaking the facility tothe foundations from the impact.

"IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIIIIME!" echoes from below as Ben Grimm wades through the throng of reptilians, swatting them away from him like horseflies.

"Leave this to the professionals, kiddos! Ya best AMSCRAY unless ya wanna be on the menu for Purina Lizard-Chow!"

I'm pretty sure there aren't any professionals. And if their were professionals in such a weird profession We would be just as qualified as you are.
Though, we are admittedly losing our current resources in health, and overall power.
Roberto retorted not bothering to budge. When yet another man who was interested in helping save the city showed up. He wasn't even the most destructive one this day.

Siobhan was fairly certain there was no once and for all. Even if she was eaten she had a feeling that it wouldn't make a difference. She'd tried other ways. And, in this moment she wanted to just let the darkness take her for a while. As she lost consciousness, dead or alive it was basically impossible to say. "Home." she whispered in the last moment.

As Siobhan collapsed. With the last vestiges of his syperstrength he picked her up, and started carrying her. Good luck with it though. I'm not sure where the horde came from, but it seems to be endless. Roberto first grabbed her dress before he left the Pavilion, with Siobhan in tow. And, when he left the building he would seek his driver, so he could drive to the hotel. Where he'd arrange for her own room. Seeing as how he had never gotten her address.

What looks like a large flying rectangle descends from the opening to the night sky. If the 4 in a circle wasn't a hint enough, sitting at the controls in a purple jumpsuit is none other than Reed Richards himself!

"We're getting unstable readings from their power source!" Reed shouts as a ladder of steel links unrolls down to the pit where Ben Grimm has crushed the last lizard.

"Are you telling me this joint is gonna go KABLOOIE? What kinda CLICHE' dime-store novel are we livin' in now?" Ben grabs the ladder and starts slowly making his way up.
