Re: Maps

Lorik - did you get the invite I sent to join the yahoo group? If so, respond to it so you can look at the maps :)

Re: Maps

Well, the links don't work because Yahoo doesn't have persistant links, which sucks.  Here is the files page:

Re: Maps

I cannot get file open! It says that the program needed open it is not in my computers language! Can you make a link directly to upstairs pic rather than to a file?

Re: Maps

Well, this map thing is becoming fun, huh? :) I know that there is a free program that lets you read excel files if you don't have excel on your computer. I'm trying to find it for Darchen. If anyone knows where else I could post it, let me know :)

Re: Maps

Well, I uploaded a jpeg of the excel document to the group page.
direct link: (works for pics, it seems)

I think there is something built into XP that will let you open .xls files, but I'm not sure.

Re: Maps

What kind of computer are you running? The link Shar'oc provided worked just fine for me. Have you played in games before that used battle maps? If so, what worked for you then?

Re: Maps

Ok - this is for anyone without excel on their computer. It allows you to view excel files. Make sure your computer's operating system is compatible.

Fresh Meat

Howdy. My name's Aaron, I'll be playing Neco Ocius a psychic rogue with you guys. I've never done psionics before, but it doesn't look to be that complicated. Hopefully Neco won't drive y'all too crazy.

Re: Fresh Meat

Welcome! I'm sure the group will be very happy to see you :) For the time being, we are using yahoo groups to post battle maps. Please give me your email and I'll send you an invite, so you can access the map files. If you have any questions about that, let me know.

Map

Well, yahoo groups is shutting me out from the files section of the site. As soon as I have access again, I'll post the updated map. Looking at the old map, here are the positions:

Lorik: F 8
Darchen: G 5
Shar'oc: J 4
Thug 1: G 9
Thug 2: F 9
Thug 4: H 9

Thugs 3 and 5 went out the open window in the south portion of Frickard's bedroom.

OOC: As a reminder, PLEASE include the grid sections when you are moving on a map.

Example:

Bob charges the insolent wizard and swings with his greatsword towards the man's chest attempting to slice him in two.

OOC: He moves to O 32 and takes one attack.

Re: Map

So did you roll for the construct this turn already, or should I do it?

Re: Map

You always roll for your characters. The only exception to that is saving throws - which I'll do.

I took the roll you had mentioned for the AC's 1st attack. The second one is up to you :)

Re: Map

I'll swap places with Darchen, if he wants.  I might just add another AC to the mix if we need one, and I can place that anywhere I can see :)

Re: Map

Sorry for the slowness in posting but my ethernet card krapped out on me sometime Friday(and the blizzard we had Saturday didn't help) and had to wait till I got here to work to post.  Hopefully I'll have it fixed before the weekend so I can post from home.

Splitting Up and Timelines

Instead of clogging up the main thread with 3 different lines of discussion to keep track of, I'll be sending three PM's (one to each group) as soon as they decide to leave the house. So, the first one goes to Neco and Shar'oc. Whenever people split up from the main like this, timelines are sure to get screwed up as some tasks take longer than others and I don't want one or two PC's waiting around for 2 weeks without being able to post. So, let me handle the discrepancies and go with the flow :) If anyone has any questions, just ask here.

Sleep

DMG suggests (on page 33) that going without sleep requires a DC 12 (+4 for each previous night without sleep) Constitution check.

I'm curious as to what our esteemed DM will require to do it.

Re: Sleep

whatever he decides won't affect me.  I could get another nights rest before we meet Darchen, and still have an hour to sit around :)

Re: Sleep

I'd like to get an idea of what kind of penalty will be connected if Neco ends up going without sleep for the night before I make a decision. If the DM would rather not tell me until I make a decision, just let me know that and I'll go ahead and decide whether or not to rest or press through.

Re: Sleep

Sorry for the delayed response to your question. I'm going with the DMG rules on p. 33 (thanks for the reference). To regain power points - check out page 63 of the XPH (Daily Power Point Acquisition). If you don't have that book, you need 8 straight hours of rest (regardless of race) - that includes sleep and just relaxing - to get back used power points.

Re: XP

bad idea with the fire...  not only will it destroy possible evidence, and over all just make us look bad, it'll also spread and burn all of the poor people's houses
Before you say 'not my problem,' any damage you cause comes out of our reward :)

Oh, and Darchen, I said get somebody to get the gaurds, not "follow me" :)
