Krjalki in the Rubble

Rostakos leads the way, his senses seem unerring as he winds through the tunnels. He takes many turns which seem random to Verzeg but the Uroxi doesn't hesitate. After about an hour of such walking you see ahead a brightly lit room. The brightness of it is a pain to the trollkins' eyes. There is something moving in the room but it is hard to make out what it is.

Rostakos crouches down and says in a whisper "That's what we're looking for. We'll wait here until our eyes are more used to the light and then we will kill the chaos."

Verzeg nods and squeezes his eyes shut a few times. This Uzko-Hooman Rostakos seems to be without fear, but Verzeg has enough for both of them. He looks into the room and wonders what krjalk horrors lurk in the brightness.

Krjalki in the Rubble

After about 10 minutes Rostakos turns to Verzeg and says "Ready?" Without waiting for a reply the Uroxi throws a spell at Verzeg (OOC: You now have fanaticism cast on you unless you wish to resist it.) Then he hefts his sword in his right hand and readies his dagger in his left.

Entering the chamber you see five human size figures. Four turn and face you as the roaring Storm Bull charges in. The fifth remain facing the stone table in front of him. Bound on the table is someone or something bound in a grubby white cloth.

Verzeg's own personal form of fanaticism grips him. The life-long resentment of having to live in fear bubbles over into a fury and he snarls the spell he's been thinking. Instantly the hatchet bursts into Zorak Zoran's fire. Squealing a war cry he rushes in as fast as his little legs can carry him.
Seeing that there is what he assumes to be a sacrificial victim ready to be slaughtered he fearlessly hacks his way towards the fifth figure.

In reply to Verzeg Black Beetle (msg # 4):

As Verzeg charges towards the figure at the altar one of the others steps in front of him. It draws a long, wicked looking dagger but before he can put it to any use the trollkin's burning axe shears through his leg at the knee. He topples to the ground screaming in agony.

Rostakos charges the nearest man to him and cuts him nearly in two with a wicked chop of his broadsword.

The other 2 fall back towards what you assume to be a priest. He turns but you cannot see his face inside his gloomy hood. The robe and hood begin to tear as the face turns into a long snout and his back hunches. Very quickly a man/Rubble runner thing stands before you snarling.

Rostakos yells "Urox!" and charges, his muscles ripple and his hair seems to stand on end.

Verzeg, still fired up to fight, shoots a glance at Rostakos trying to work out if he has become berserk.

He steps widely past the falling man and attacks another with his axe.

In reply to Verzeg Black Beetle (msg # 6):

Rostakos certainly seems beserk, his eyes are wild, there is a shimmering, ghostly image of a bull covering the man.

Verzeg's target manages to get his dagger in the way of the flaming axe but most of the blow continues into his guts sending the man to the floor.

The rubble runner monster leaps at Rostakos but the snapping jaws miss their target.

The snarls quickly turn to a shriek as the broadsword sweeps across and severs the right arm neatly at the elbow. The monster turns and dashes for the door.

Even under the influence of the fanaticism spell Verzeg feels a rush of fear as Rostakos gives himself up to Urox. Still, the dire imperative to vent his fury takes him and he attacks again at the last of the dagger men.
