Glitch feels called to wait further up the valley beyond anywhere they've yet ventured, and wait until they are established there. She finds a nice boulder to sit on and feels called to wait there in a cat-sized Amkelevadam form. A few of the meditators, including Frank, followed her and sat to meditate with her.
quote:
She shares that she is proud of them
While she is waiting, the people develop a strong sense of positive self-regard - they care for themselves and one another equally, even as much as a mother cares for her children, they all care for one another and themselves and even their environment and its members.

and that they can record there knowledge with language too, again though leaving them to figure out how ... She will help them with the calander explaining she don't know how far off the winter is but maybe with this they can figure this out....
As they are working out the calendar, they consult with Sender and others are gifted with Mathematics first. They work out a system of numbering, and figure out that the sun, which has appeared to be rising from the top of the Northern edge of the valley wall from their earliest living memory ((one of them is about 3 billion of their relative years old - which converts to about 100 of Glitch's relative normal years)), will set below the edge of the same Northern wall in about 100 of Glitch's relative normal years.
After the written math system is established, it is first used to record musical patterns, and afterward someone assigns vocal phonemes a numerical identity, thus establishing a mathematically accurate complete phonetic alphabet.

and shares that the spirits tell her they must migrate out of the vally before the winter comes.
They realize that as the sun has been rising, the temperature has been rising with it. The oldest among them reminds them that their earliest memories included surviving in a harsh frozen and icy environment.
quote:
She tells them they can leave there homes behind if they need to, time and nature will reclaim them... but it is something they should meditate on and ask Sender...
Half of them remain behind in the original home, and they establish a constant supply chain of settlements along the Southern wall along the route to the boulder that Glitch meditates on. About a third of their total population settle at the nearest place along the Southern wall to the boulder, and some continue deeper into the valley, even as far ahead as their first home is behind. For them, the entire journey would take a week on foot, non-stop.
In the process of establishing the constant flow of supplies, they create stone-paved roads, wheeled carts, domesticated pack dragons, irrigation, basic permaculture gardening and they completely avoid the creation of money - relying on one another to all support each other.
quote:
and if it is ok they should pray to Sender
They don't understand any difference between 'talk with' and 'pray to' - their understanding of reality doesn't separate spirit from flesh to that degree. To them, talking with spirits is equally as real and certain as talking with one another - there is no real difference.
quote:
letting him know they are returning what they borowed from him back to him and that this place that was once there home is for the forest once more.
Whenever a settlement is established, they draw a circle of stones around it as a defensive wall with strategic gaps. When it is abandoned, they knock the walls down to allow nature full access, and to prevent people from mistaking it as a safe place to rest in. The wall building and tearing down are both made into rituals, adjusted every time by the local Shaman to best fit the situation.
quote:
She also teaches them the ritual of the hunt, a two part ritual that blesses a hunt adapting it to ask for senders guidance....and the second part thanking the spirit of the kill, though she adapts it to thank the animal being wounded for the meal.
Sender differs guidance to his superior, and directs them to ask the universal Creator and giver of life for guidance. Sender is only a small nothing who was given the opportunity to love and provide for them. His guidance will be given, but it doesn't come from him.
quote:
She shares a few rituals like this that help strengthen there bounds with the spirits.... but not to many enough to inspire them to develop more of there own
They have the natural instinct to invent their own ceremonies for their own specific circumstances. The ceremony has no power in itself - it only matters what thoughts and feelings are evoked in the participants. If the ritual needs to change in order to set the right atmosphere, it is changed. Repetition helps, but as soon as it loses its spirit, any ritual is ceremonially released.
quote:
Spirits apreshate when you comune with them and they do it already but a ritual helps. She don't want to give them to much to inspire riligous dogma, but enough that they will deviloup a spirutal cluture as it will likely lead to the spirits gifting them with abilities to help them.
Because they sense the Spirit realm as easily as the physical, this never becomes an issue.
This time Glitch was led and slowed her time down beyond her normal rate until one breath was completed, then she resumed up to their rapid time - 1 day later for her regular time and 83,000 of their years later.
They are now the size of small cats, and appear like anthropomorphized furry dragons (no wings), but are capable of shrinking back to their normal size - their other forms shifting in and out of Spirit-space when they shed or increase mass, but rearranging their matter if shifting physically only. They can appear like any of the creatures they've met so far, including a rat. Frank was the first to greet her in rat-form. Sethhoshel is right behind him. "Greetings, honored one! We are happy to see you once more. Life has changed for us in some ways. We have continued to invent new languages and maths and musics and much more. Personally, I just spent 10,000 'years' in a meditation which seemed to last but 10 seconds to me. Then I spent 10 seconds in meditation which seemed to last 10,000 'years' to me. It was most fascinating to wander around in silence and stillness while everyone else sat motionless as if statues, all around. It was incredible."
Sethoshel adds, "We are so glad to see you again. What are your thoughts? What would you like to know?"
