Re: Falling Star

Carver begins carrying on loudly in Tagalog while strapping his guns and knives into place, every once in a while interjecting "and so he say" "puta madre!" "No way am I fitting that unless me compras cena first" "be gentle senpai" and "bakka!"
With a grenade out, his tazer plugged into the Smartlink, and his knives in place, Carver takes position off to the side of the door, offering Valentine first breach.

Re: Falling Star

Snow pops the lock and opens the door. It opens about half way before hitting a large, potted fern. Peering into the room, the entryway is stuffed thick with rubber and real plants. The interior of the room is otherwise only barely lit by a few concealed lights.

Re: Falling Star

Reaching the top landing, Firefox pulled her boots back on, giving the troll ample room to bust down the door.  While Snow busied himself with the lock, she focused on summoning up a gaggle of watcher spirits.  Fixing the aura of the drop bear clearly in her mind, she sent them forth into the room.  Find this one and show me where she is

Re: Falling Star

Saint Velveteen takes a deep breath before picking Marilyn back up (being careful not to accidentally shock her with his gloves) and holds her gently on his head.  She would be his drop bear barrier and bait. "Hope this doesn't turn out poorly for you girl," he mutters.

St. V squeezes himself through the half open door, using his thermo vision to help augment his normal vision in the dim light. "Hello?  Has Elvis left the building?  I was in the building and heard Becka was in this room, and oh isn't she just adorable?  Huge fan.  Well I know people say drop bears love goats and I had this extra goat with me... so I figured, hey, why not?"

Carver peers around St V to see how big the room is. If possible, he wants to lob the grenade somewhere far enough in that the smoke won't come back out into the hallway.

Re: Falling Star

There's no wind to speak of. The suite seems large, but jammed with cover.

The runners and Marilyn peer through the door. Marilyn gives Velveteen a look--she's not quite sure about this plan. Meanwhile, an army of invisible spirit watchers fly through the runners, searching inside and around them for any drop bears.

The watchers spread out into the suite, "hello? Hello! Is anyone here?""I'm here! Me!""Are you a drop bear? Do you look like a drop bear?""No, it's me! I'm a spirit! Are YOU a drop bear?" They continue to shout and chirp before one flutters back out, "Hello, I found one! I found a drop bear. You should come see him!"

The watcher slowly floats a few inches with an invisible gust as it tries to understand this concept, 'she', then perks up. "Come with me!" With that, it zips back into the room and out of sight.

Can I tell roughly where it went by tracking it astrally and/or by sensing it through my summoning link?

So there's no sense of left/right near/close? (won't bother asking high/low as that's pretty much a given . . .)

Reaching out, Firefox retrieved her elemental.  "Go find drop bear and show me where she is"

Carver sighs, It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?
Nodding V off to the side, he pulls the pin and tosses the grenade to the far side of the room. "Mask time, choke if you got 'em." He smirks, and pulls out his gas mask.

With the goat on his head, St. V couldn't grab his mask from his purse,  but he takes a couple more steps into the room anyway.  He'll try holding his breath and though it out if he has to.  The troll continues scanning the suite with his thermo vision for their target.

10:20, Fri 06 June 2014: St. Velveteen rolled 1 success using 4d6 with the Shadowrun system with a target of 4 (((6+5)11,2,2,2)).

Re: Falling Star

The team masks up (well, except St. V, who could try to use Marilyn as a face mask if he wanted). Snow takes up the rear, as he has the highest Cool score.

Inside, the group is moving almost by feel alone; the foliage blocks any line of sight, and the smoke obscures everything else. They 'slice the pie', establishing overlapping fields of fire to clear the room. There's an Elvis wig and a sequined white coat stuck on a tree branch, but otherwise nothing of note. The team move son to the next room, with Firefox taking the lead following her elemental.

As you enter, the smoke alarm from the bathroom shrieks, now deafening everyone (who is already blind). The room is stacked high with a couch and entertainment stands, all pushed against one wall to make space for more trees. The wall to your right is floor to ceiling windows, and there are three doors out of the room. The team quickly scans for targets, and a shadowed figure stumbles out of the foliage towards you. He might be shouting something or incanting a spell, but no one can hear a thing over the smoke detector.

Re: Falling Star

With a free hand, Carver snaps out his Supershock. With his Smartlink slotted into place, he slips the crosshairs to center of mass and tosses two supercharged Hi-V darts at the figure.
Quickdraw roll (5,(6+3)9,1,1,1,4) just barely below a crit fail, whew!
Lightning round! (4,(6+6+4)16,5,5,4,5,5,1), 7 successes. Combat Pool held in reserve.

With a snarl, he slides his forearm snap blades out with a "snikt".

Re: Falling Star

Carver hits the figure. There's a CRACK CRACK and the figure drops hard.

Firefox scans the room. The mask and the smoke make it nearly impossible to see anything, but the elemental is clearly visible, glowing red hot, pointing at a hole in the bushes.

St. Velveteen is gradually shifting from strawberry to grape as he holds his breath. Marilyn is getting wobbly around the knees and giving the most adorable little coughs.

Snow meanwhile realizes this cigarette is stale. Absolutely foul, and not doing anything for him. The life of a shadowrunner is a hard one. The door to the suite is still ajar and smoke is pouring into the hallway. A few people come out of their rooms in various stages of undress and are looking around.

Firefox takes Light stun. St. V is still holding his breath, but will take Serious stun. Marilyn takes Serious stun. Snow takes no stun, because he's chillin' it outside. Carver takes no stun, because he was smart enough to take 'immunity: Neuro-stun VII'.

Re: Falling Star

Saint Velveteen watches Carver impressively take down the surprise guest.  Then the troll starts to notice a strange tingly feeling even as his head begins to note the lack of oxygen from holding his breath.  "Wait, this isn't just smoke?" St. V manages to ask Carver as the effects of the gas start to take hold.  Well this sucks, he thinks as he crashes to the floor, much like the other figure just did.

Re: Falling Star

Snow looked at his cigarette with a look of disgust before taking another puff and realizing that it just isn’t worth it.  He pulled the cherry off and dropped it onto the carpet and smothered it with his boot before pocketing what was left of the offending cigarette.

As the smoke alarms went off and people started exiting their rooms Snow saw an opportunity.

“Alright folk, this is not a drill.”
He walked up and down the hallway trying to take control of the situation, “Everyone please proceed to the stairwells in a neat and orderly fashion.  Anyone not doing so with be tased and left for the flames.” He stopped barking order and looked at hot little thinking in matching bra and panties standing in the hall.  He pulled out a business card and started handing it to her, “Are you over 18?  Yea, good” he handed her his card, “Call me later, I’d like to buy you dinner but first you need to get out of here safely.”

“Alright people, let’s move

Over the comms he called to the team, “Alright guys this is a nice distraction, get the mark and we can get out of here with everyone else as they evacuate.  Foxx, when your pet is done with the Mark have it move around and set a few more small fires.  We walk out with everyone else, security wont be able to stop anyone.”

08:40, Today: Snow rolled 24 using 7d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5,2,5,3,4,4,1. Security Etiquette.
Leadership would be default to charisma of 6
Bonus from friendly face
and that roll sucked

So Firefox can see her elemental on the astral, but can't see Becka's signature on the astral?
