Post Ludum for Kate, Jhiaxus, and Day

Well, tis been a bit of work for the scriff this last bit with Kate and Jhiaxus versed-out from a Chinese hit squad, and Day trying to surf an avalanche/crevasses.

Thoughts on the Heartwar game for them, and on Day's visit to the New Ice Age?

PT Murdered me again. I think he has it in for me, first he gives me substand SKS Scorpians, then kills me with them. Darnit kill me with an American gun, but an american soldier :)

Seriously I had fun and avenged Kate, she owes me one.

Re: Post Ludum for Kate, Jhiaxus, and Day

Honestly?

When I was 12 years old, I was very out of shape and went on a trip to a well known national camping spot.  I climbed a mountain and vowed to go back and level the entire thing with dynamite and buy it out if I ever became wealthy.  There is a small part of me that still wants to do this een though I know it is irrational.

Tom Day has just enough of myself that I fully expect him to return to Ice World if possible some day and build a well paved road down the mountain along with several well stocked cabins in case he or anyone else ends up being stuck there. :)

As for the execution, it was quite interesting.  It isn't really a question of "Man vs. Orc" but really one of nature.  Nature doesn't really care what you feel about it, it just is.  The interaction with Mike was interesting and from a perspective of game play I appreciated it.  Having to spend the first 5-6 months of playing going, "What the heck is going on?" is always annoying when I know otherwise myself.

Fun. :)

Re: Post Ludum for Kate, Jhiaxus, and Day

Kate's untimely demise bothers me a bit, because it didn't really seem like she had a chance.  I didn't really follow why she was targeted.  Was it simply for hanging around with Jhiaxus?

At least Jhiaxus was able to try to defend himself.  Plus did Jhiaxus have any role in creating the Chinese threat, given his wish for a martial arts master to train with?

Did Day (and Tornad for that matter) have the option to join us in the gather world?

They were out to get dream weavers.. and to be honest, I was having trouble keeping up with everyone....

So it was a good way to put me somewhere else wehre I could play without worrying about dragging other folks down.

There are multiple dangers in this world...when you sleep, Figments and other Dreamshapers...when you wake...spy agencies and powerful people.

The Chicoms use death squads to 'deal' with 'rogue' dreamshapers.  Misty just whacked one of the leaders of a death squad.

Re: Post Ludum for Kate, Jhiaxus, and Day

Eh the Chicom death squad wasn't bad cept for their armor, and since their armor is now my armor, I would trade a dead shield battery for armor (I have 3 other ones in my backpack), 2 Skorpians, 4 Pistols, ammo for all, and a Automatic Shotgun. I was just a bit paranoid going to a local hospital with gunshot wounds, so I had no problem "versing". Better to die outright, than be healed, kept as a lab rat, and being tortured in my book.
