Jomo's First Verse

You wake up in the morning, early like always to begin your day's activities.  One of which is calling your laziest employee to wake him up.  You manage to get him up on the phone and he arrives half an hour later, carrying a glock to work.  He points it at you, with drugged up eyes.  The two of you scuffle for a short while and you manage to take the gun from him, holding it limp in your hand as the police arrive to take the man away.  You had always seen it coming, just not so soon.  As you walk back into the stoor, you feel a hard knock on your head and there's nothing but black.  You had gotten hit by a falling light from the ceiling.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're falling now, and you see the ground about twelve feet below you, sand there.  You land in the sand, dazed as to what just happened.  At getting up, wiping the sand off of your face, you find that there is a small creek nearby and what seems like plains around you, straight green grass for a ways.  After a while, you find that there are trees in the distance on all sides, the sun is shining brightly above you.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Jomo stands up, knocking the sand off of his shirt. What the hell just happened, he would ask, but obviously, there was no one around. Where's Kingston? Where's the Hotel? He glances down, there in his hands, the gun he had taken from his employee. A bruise was swelling on the back of his head. Most importantly, though, his ganja was there with him.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Your environment doesn't change at all, but you see something clearly move that seemed to come up on top of a nearby hill right by you.  Whatever it was, when you looked, it ducked by down on the other side of the hill.  The hill is covered with grass, and the sand in your hair and on your body is still bugging you.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Yuck, Jomo hated sand. Stay clean, his mother always told him...he wasn't sure what she meant by that. He did his best to wipe off whatever was on him--almost forgetting that he was whisked into an unknown location and time--and started walking towards the hill. A gun was in his hand but he head it lightly, not planning on using it. Jomo hoped, but didn't believe, that this was Heaven. "Rasta doon't 'believe', we Know," he reminded himself.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Jomo walks up to the hill, and looks down to see a sight that he'd never seen before.  There must have been at least twenty cats there.  They ranged ages, from kittens to full grown cats.  They were all either white, black, brown, or a mixture of the colors.  The thing that had looked over now met his eyes, a kitten on top of the hill, at his feet.  The small kitten met him with wide eyes.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Jomo's face curled into a wrinkle of cuteness. Kittens. "Ooh, look at da cute kiiiitiiess!" he let out, hardly containing himself. He walked over the slope of the hill and came within range, taking a squatting position. "Com'ere, ya cute little kitties!" If Jomo wasn't such a good guy, it might have been embarassing.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

About seven kittens run up the hill to greet you, some of the parent cats coming up to see who the newcomer is as well.  The kitten right in front of you purrs and rubs up against you.  Some cats remain at the bottom of the hill, keeping some kittens down there still.  More cats come up to check you out, and when they see that you're fine, you soon find yourself surrouned by cute kittens, licking your face.  Soon enough, you have no more sand on your face, but you're wet with cat saliva and it eventually starts hurting due to their rough tongues.  Some of their mouths get dry and they go to the little creek nearby to get drinks, but soon return to you.

(OOC: Good god, lol)

Jomo did what any person would do, he embraced the animals and let them have their way with him. Whatever that was. He didn't let the excessive kitten-loving get too out of control, I mean, the man had a little dignity. After a bit of relaxtion, Jomo sprung up and waited for something to happen.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

The cats soon start to leave, the kittens following their cat mothers, some being carried off by the neck.  All are now heading in the same direction, with the sun setting.  You feel your stomache growl, hungry.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Jomo figured, with the serenity of the area and the excess of kittens, that this had to be heaven. He had made it, soon, he would enter the palace of Haile Selassie and spend eternity with the Lord of Lords himself. The cats must be an omen; as Selassie was the Conquering Lion of Judah, these felines must represent him. In the Rasta, the Lion's symbology is Christianity's Cross. Jomo anxiously followed, expecting to stumble upon a giant African palace.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Soon, once you get over a large hill, you find a large clifface.  There is a large opening in the side of it, which all of the cats seem to be headed towards.  At the moment, not being able to resist, you're carrying one of the kittens, the same as the first one you met on the hill. (its mother didn't seem to mind, trusting you).

"I like you. Your name is Little Jah," he announced, to the kitten in his hand, wondering how this road got here. He eagerly awaited for the Great Temple to appear.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

You approach the cave entrance and see two large tigers in the entrance block your path.  You hold Little Jah on your shoulder and watch the other cats enter with no trouble at all.  Little Jah's mother is next to your leg and meows at the two tigers.  They look at you for a moment, their eyes penetrating inside of you.  You feel a natural fear of them, but your faith makes you stay there.  They let you pass into the dark cave, and you soon discover that there are many cats, large and small (if you know what I mean).  The cats seem like they're laying down for the night, and Little Jah is trying to get into a comfortable position on your shoulder.

OOC:  We can go to a monthly-based game where you post your plans for the month and I post what happens during the month, if you want to.  Your next post will show whether you do or not.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

You wake up the next day to discover something that you hadn't known before.  You see the cats get up and, depending on their size, they go in different directions when they leave.  The small cats return to the hilly areas where you were already, but some others follow the clifface to the left and the right.  You pray to Haile and get no answer.

Jomo will attempt to take Little Jah with him and will stick to the left clifface with the bigger cats, assuming that they would lead him to Haile.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

When you begin to follow the clifface with Little Jah in your arms, the kitten's mother approaches you and paws at you some, jerking its head towards the other direction, back to the hills from before.  Before you can respond, a larger beast approaches, a couger.  It looks straight into your eyes and you feel nervous around it.  It then points its nose at Little Jah and then to the ground, where the mother cat is.  You interpret it that they don't want Little Jah to come, but you're allowed to if you want.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

The couger jerks his head for you to follow, and you naturally assume that it means that you should come with them, to the left of the clifface.  Right now, they're merely walking at a steady pace, seeming to be conserving their energy.  Out of the corner of your eye, however, you see that Little Jah and the smaller cats are frollicing over to the hills, playing along the way.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

Soon, they reach an area with large hills like before, but grass grows higher here.  The grass is about up to your knees, and the cougers duck under the protection of it.  Soon, you notice that they are all in what seems to be a line, army-crawling up a hill to go over, preparing for something.  Your spine tingles and you realize something is up.

Re: Jomo's First Verse

For a while, the situation stayed the way as it was and you were getting impatient.  About to get up, you finally see something.  I dog is on top of the hill, sniffing into the grass looking for something.  Suddenly, one of the large cats close to it pounces, getting into a fight.  Almost right afterwards, the rest of the lions, cougers, jaguars and such charge over the hill.
