Robert and the Revenant

You've spent the last hour of the morning chalking out power circles in your spare bedroom/sanctum.  The summoning went as smoothly as it ever does, but when They arrived, the only response you got to your questions about what you should be doing next week got raucous laughter.

When you tried to get them to explain, they only laughed harder.

Irritated, and a bit ill at ease, you dismissed Them, and the Voices went away to an Abyss to hide in from the Light of Heaven.

You flipped on your computer, planning to check out an astrological website for your horoscope.

And then you see smoke coming from the computer, and ringing in your ears is laughter...and suddenly a bright flash of light filled with yellow globules surrounds you.

==============================================================================

You wake, tingling all over, but otherwise fine.  You're leaning in a sitting position against a bedroom wall with a made-up bed in front of you.  A path around the bed to your right, leads past a window which rattles in its frame, and then a cheap dresser, a small interior door that looks like a suburban closet door, and a closed solid door to outside the bedroom.

Across the bed, you see a window on the wall, and a small desk, and an unlit lamp.

The room is dimly lit, and strobing flashes of lightning are the primary means you've seen what was described.

Re: Robert and the Revenant

What has happened?, How did I get to this place?. I look around; and walk up the the rattling window, everytime a bolt of lightning strikes i can remember the laughter of what appeared to be my dream. As I go to walk out of the room I hear foot steps, then more, I get nervous and so i freeze. 1,2,3... of these strange beast like creatures come around the corner, I run, why I do not know. So I must do what I do best, stay out of this fight and conceal myself to the shadows.

Re: Robert and the Revenant

Your imagination runs away with you for a bit, and you see yourself running from crude beasts.  But in truth, you're in a small suburban style bedroom with no where to run.

However, you do see a light go under the door, as if someone were walking past in the hallway outside with a flashlight in hand.

Re: Robert and the Revenant

"Why has someone put me here, what have I done to deserve this?" I scream out of frustration. Suddenly my sight turns to the crack uner the door.. I hear foot steps (like that same person is just making there rounds again). But as they were walking by he must of heard me, he turned around.

The footsteps stop and the light shines brightly under the door. Every second that ticks away, I feel as though I am dieing.

Re: Robert and the Revenant

The door rattles, and then the light retreats.  Perhaps your scream scared whoever it was off.  Or perhaps they are running for their shotgun...

In any case, you hear what might be a step, and then two, but then it stops.

The light is gone, and you're left panting in shock in the room.  Wondering what horror has beset you.

Re: Robert and the Revenant

I pace back and forth for a while, then walk to the bed and take a seat. I sit, and sit, then here those very same foot steps, there faint, and far apart from one another but as they get closer they get faster.

I start to panic and run over to the window to try and pull it up. I can't. The window seems to locked from the outside. Theres no where left to turn..

Re: Robert and the Revenant

The footsteps come up to the door, light flickers under the door through the crack, and then the window flies open, and rain comes in to drench you.  You lurch back, and a flash of lightning illuminates the room to reveal a dead man laying in the bed with a bloody knife in his hand.

His throat is cut.

The door out of the room is open.
