Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

He fought well, and he saved Oz from two Wicked Witches, and he has succeeded in reinforcing Camelot.  Whether Camelot ends up saved or not is not known.

Unfortunately, he versed out before he got that Siberian Husky.

Comments, thoughts, suggestions...?

And that was the last player in the Heartwar Gather.

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

Can't Dana have brought the Siberian Husky into the room when I was starting to convulse, lol?  (jk)

UGH, Now I have to get the puppy in another world.  I sure hope Camelot holds up okay.  And Ash might actually help them, because he MIGHT feel like he "owes me" for giving up my life to help him.

GAH, I WAS SOOO CLOSE TO BEATING HIM (or at least outwitting him..).

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

So, I'm looking forward to Krillis's next world, I'm wondering how he'll turn out in such a world...  perhaps in the future I could meet krillis again, but as an ally, not when I've got a big dragon threatening to kill me if I didn't do as he said...

Krillis gets to go to a transition world....after that, I'm not sure yet.

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

I'm sorry to see Heartwar's last survivor verse out.  That was a fun world.

Actually, I'd be inclined to give poor Krillis a GE roll, with a particularly good result indicating that the Animator had time to get the puppy over to him.  But that of course is PT's call...

BTW, for that matter, what are the rules regarding when something becomes a verser possession?  If the Animator, either directly or indirectly, had control over the ownership of the dog, and the Animator gave it to Krillis, then would that be sufficient to make the puppy Krillis' "possession", and have it verse out with him?  :)

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

I can picture it now...

The puppy's being flown over from somewhere to Tennessee and over the water, it verses out.

Then, I can sum up the rest in one word-SPLAT.

Of course, one can only hope that it didn't verse out with me in such a situation.

Hmmmm...

Well, if you have chosen to associate with the puppy, and it verses out, perhaps that would verse you out too, as soon as it hit the ground!!!

That would be one way to top Avahur's record for shortest world...  :p

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

Actually, it's come to mind that the dog has to die in order to verse with me, right?

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

No, if an associate versers out, you may also.  Remember how Lilandra found her way to Heartwar's world?  She got Alexis to associate with her, then killed her, and they versed together.

So if you and the dog are associated with one another, you may verse together if one of you is killed.

But there are some finer points of the rules that have to be considered.  For example, when Lilandra's hubby was killed in Heartwar, he versed out without her.

But would a dog be a possession, or an associate?

Hmmm....

So we'll need PT to figure things out for us...  :p

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

lol, he probably already has and it turned out that the dog isn't coming with me.

I really, really don't want to change what's turned out.  I think that it's perfectly fine that the dog didn't come and I was just doing some {jk} whining.

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

Associates don't have to die to verse with you.

A dog as a being would be an associate.

However, even if Dana had brought a husky into the room with you as you sleep, its likely that the puppy would not bond with you as you slept.  Especially not if others were in the room, and if the time involved was quick.

No, I'm sorry, no husky there.  And its doubtful, you'll find one in the next world either.  But then you're probably not going to be on King Street very long anyways.....

Dogs of course make some of the easiest associates because of their readily given and incredible strength of loyalty.

Cats would be less likely to verse, and humans even less likely.  In order for a human to verse with you, well, a deep bond of friendship, or of love would usually be necessary.

Of course, if you're nasty smart, and mentally disciplined like Lilandra the Crazy, then you might find a way to game this, but she's definitely an exception to normal practises.

Re: Post Ludum: Krillis's First World

eh? well if your skilled and you know the ins and outs of versing and you really didn't like a verser, you could kill them, but be touching them when they die, so that you verse with them, and then kill them again in the next world, lather, rinse, repeat, untill you've had your fill of them dieing..
