Krillis Korralled

A dream of spinning and swimming through rivers of M&M's, and over a waterfall of molten chocolate, and into a pool of marshmellows leaves you floating...

You are floating. And you can smell a stink in the air around you, unwashed human.  There is a babble of frightened voices all about you, below and above, right and to the left, in a language you don't know.  Underneath the stench is metal and oil.

Re: Krillis Korralled

I open my eyes slightly, assuming that there might be light I need to adjust to.  Maybe I'm getting the hang of this 'verser' thing...

My first objective through perception is to see if why I am actually floating, so I look down.  Also, I look around for my gear, doubtful that the dog came with me.  I also try to recognize the accent of the speech, to see if it's a nationality that I recognize (french, russian, etc...sound different and such).

(OOC: Krillis doesn't yet know that verser companions travel with them, so that's why "I" am doubtful.)

Re: Krillis Korralled

You're in a rectangular cube of a golden, bronze metal room.  Thirty feet beneath...at an odd angle...your stomach lurches...is the floor.  Around you are startled, angry, and scared by turns faces that are covered by scars and tattoos.  The bodies have minimal clothing of crude leather and fur.  All of them look tough, and much beaten upon with broken noses being a commonplace.  None of them look pretty or handsome.  But they do seem to be human.

Across the room, you hear a thundering bark.  Its your dog.  He flings himself off the wall to your right about fifty feet away, and barking perplexedly sails toward you, and past you about five feet away.

--You're here!--  I bark towards the pup.  --I have a name for you, finally!  I'm sorry it took so long!--

I try to make my way over to the pup, using swimming motions in this evident cube with a clear lack of gravity.  I look around to see if there is an exit of some sort.

(Are the dirty people outside the golden box or inside with me floating too?)

Re: Krillis Korralled

You speak to the pup, but its hard.  You find your focus drifting, and you have to redouble your concentration.

"BOSS! I'm so happy to see you! Whats my name?"  The pup barks back.

The dirty people see you are trying to catch up to the dog, and one grabs you by the arm, and flings himself in the opposite direction.  Newton's laws take over, and you're flung toward the dog's bouncing point on the wall.  The dog bounces off, and into your path.  You collide, and come to a near rest a couple feet from the wall.

The dirty people cluster in around you again, invading your personal space.  One of them offers your pup something that looks like beef jerky, and offers an encouraging smile as well.  It'd be easier to accept if the offerer didn't have most of his teeth knocked out of his head.

--You can be Kox from now on.  And by the way, my name is Krillis.--

I nod toward the beef jerky and let my pup eat it.  Still, I keep Kox in my arms so that they don't try to steal or hurt him.  Maybe they're so busted up because they have to fling themselves around and run into walls...?

I try to move through the crowd so that I can see the entire exterior of this place, and see if there is an exit.  I also look directly 'down'.

If I can't push through the crowd, I try to use signs for them.  I shrug my shoulders with my palsm up (showing that it's a question), and then I point towards my open mouth, which I proceed to chew invisible food with (showing that I'm talking about food) (trying to ask where food is).

Re: Krillis Korralled

You get a good look at the cube you're in.  There is a door. It looks to be metal, and possibly sliding.  Its closed.

There is an intake chute which they mime sends in food.  There is also a water spigot which does turn on.  It fills the community cup which is a coconut shell on a stick.  Then it turns off on its own.

There is a area in the corner with a very faint aroma.  There are no visible signs of human waste.

They give you some of their beef jerky, and hard cheese, a potato whole and cooked, and some hard bread.  It requires significant effort to eat.  Your dog loves the jerky, and is making a pig of himself.  The people don't seem to mind.  They seem fascinated by him as they reach out to very gently pet him.

You do see weapons. They are bronze daggers, and stone axes.

You and them get quite a bit of mime going on.

They offer you one of the females.

Re: Krillis Korralled

I look down at my dog, --Cut out that eating.  You'll get fat if you keep it up.--

Looking around more, I think to myself, Well, it seems that I'm in a giant cube with a complete lack of gravity hanging around with cavemen and cavewomen.  Considering my appearance, I wonder if they think that I'm some sort of god...  Maybe if I reject the woman, they'll take offense and they might hurt us...  Still, she might be dirty, considering everyone else's condition...

I nod at their offering of the woman, but I don't become intimate.  I signal down to the door, and try to give the impression that I want to go down to it.  I try to give them the impression, rather, that I want me, my pup, and the woman if necessary to go down to the door.

Re: Krillis Korralled

She's definitely dirty.  You can smell her from five feet away.

Two of them demonstrate how to get down to the floor.  They grab each other's elbows, and one slings himself up, and the other down.   The one going down swims to slow down, and lands cushioning himself.  The other deliberately bounces off the top, and then slows himself like the other as he comes down.

They gesture you to try this with Kox.  Kox seems to like the idea.

However, you decide to go about it, you get down with Kox.  So does the girl.

They seem very used to microgravity.  And you do not notice any of them crashing into the walls in a way that would hurt.

I inspect the door, looking for anything on it that I'd be able to grip in order to open it.  This place must be full of technology...  I wonder of this room is an experimental chamber just seeing if man can live in microgravity...

If I don't see anything to grip or any key/hand pad to experiment with, then I simply knock on the door and hollar, "Hey, I got stuck in here!  Let me out!!"

OOC: How old does the girl appear to be?  Are any of the others following/watching me?

Re: Krillis Korralled

Your hand thuds solidly on the metal door.  You yell for several minutes with no result except the others mime that their ears hurt, and they try to comfort you with hugs as if they empathize with your desire to get out.

The girl is perhaps sixteen or seventeen.  At least a good third of the people are watching you, and from five to ten at any given moment are tagging along.

No body comes.  No voice on a microphone apologizes.

Some time passes, you're not sure how long.

Kox uses the bathroom in the corner, and his waste drifts into the wall with no sign of a hole.

Some more time passes.  Food begins spilling from the device.

I accept all of their hugs, and return them to show that I appreciate their empathy.

I take a mental note of the waste disposal system, but decide to look into it at a later date.  I move back a distance from the metal door and pull out one of my plasma pistols.

I signal for those around me to put their hands over their ears, just in case they have superhearing; moreover, I make sure everyone's out of the way.  Then, I pull the trigger three times shooting the door.  They're not going to keep me, an immortal verser, locked up in here like some animal!

OOC: PT, I sure hope you have an outside world or some awesome security for this box...because I'm going to do everything I can to escape, lol.  I like the challenge and I think I'm going to like this world, lol.

Re: Krillis Korralled

It takes all three shots, but you melt the door.  Chunks of flaming metal spin off into the air.

Outside is a corridor with twelve foot tall passageways.  The air has an acrid reek that makes you cough.  The light is yellowish in an unpleasant way.

You see a door in front of you across the passage.  Its closed.

The passage goes from the right to the left.  You step outside, and you feel gravity.

There are a number of alien symbols on the walls on little signs.  The color is pink in its background, and red for the symbols.

I put the plasma pistol away in my bag and take out the AK-47 (which is probably sticking out).

I then proceed to run to the door opposite me and knock.  If there's no answer and I can't open it, then I proceed down the left hallway.  If the door opens, I point the gun at them and say, "Freeze!  I demand to know what's going on here!"

OOC: Just so you know, I'm not pulling these weapons out of the demon hole.  I got them from Killerbot world (the hustler).

You face a shieldwall of three men armed with short, metal stabbing spears.  Behind them is another man with a helmet crowed with horsehair.

He barks out something even as you speak.  Its in the tone of someone used to obedience.

You catch a few of the words...Latin...

aldjlajsdldklj..Senate.kjlsaj..People of Roma..jskldjajdlja

The cave people with you cringe back, and draw their daggers, and bare their teeth...from behind you.  Kox growls battle readiness at your right hand as his hair poofs up, but unfortunately, he doesn't grow in size this time.

I put my hand back towards the others, trying to motion for them to "stop".  I take my AK-47 and attempt to fire a shot over the romans' heads, and say as threatening as possible, "NO!"

I talk to my pup, --I'm not really sure what to do here, but don't fight unless I'm in immediate danger or until I attack them, okay?--

If they still haven't done anything, I point to their spears and shields, then I point to the floor, trying to signal to them to put their things on the ground.

The cavepeople stop as you command.

The shot rings out, and richochets around the room.  You hear a pained yell from inside.  The Romans lunge a half-step toward you with a 'huuuuu' voiced as one.  You can hear more Romans scrambling and yelling from behind them in the room.

The leader behind them understands your order as you can see in his eyes.  And he rejects it.

The spear points are about seven feet in front of you.

Re: Krillis Korralled

I look angrily at their leader.  Then, I focus on my fire symbol to make a small fireball in my hand, and say "AMEN!"  I throw the fireball at the commander, knowing the size of the ball is too small to kill.

Then, I shorten my nonverbal command by simply pointing to the ground as I did last time.

If the fireball doesn't work, I aim the AK-47 as carefully as possible at the leader, nervous about destroying a human life.  When I'm about to fire, I close my eyes before shooting, not trying too hard to hold the gun straight.

Re: Krillis Korralled

The fireball does not work.

The leader barks out a command to you after you jab at the ground.  He looks dangerous.

You point the rifle at him, and close your eyes.

You fire.  It takes his head off.

The men lunge at you with their spears.  With your eyes closed, you're not capable of much defense.  However, Kox grabs the staff of the spear heading for your heart.  One is tossed and it cleanly misses.  The last slices your arm open from wrist to elbow, about an inch deep on your left arm.

You open your eyes.

The Romans are about to charge.

The cavepeople are running away.

Kox has a spear staff crossways between his teeth, and is shaking it ferociously.  He's taken his mind off the men, and has transferred it to the weapon.

I try to get the cave-people's attention with noise, then motion to charge at the Romans.

I drop the AK-47 to the ground, finding it useless with one arm bleeding badly.  For now, I press the bleeding arm against my body (wound against body) to help stop the bleeding.  Then, I pull out a plasma pistol and unleash fire on them in the narrow hallway.

Re: Krillis Korralled

You yell for the cavepeople to charge, but the Romans lunge first.  One spearpoint enters your thigh, and then with a squicking sound rips out.  You feel no pain as your AK clatters on the floor, and you press your arm into your side.  Everything seems unnaturally loud, and sloooooowwww.  There is a brightness to everything as if brilliant lights are floating about you, but you can't see them if they even exist.

You pull out your plasma pistol fast, and the Romans are a little slow on the uptake.  They had expected you to fall.

Kox roars, and the cavepeople lunge to attack.

The Romans lunge forward and in the confused melee and the crushing press of metal and flesh you fire a bolt into the ceiling not trying to, but there's no space to get your arm down after a Roman shield smashed into your forearm.

No one notices.

Another thunk in your chest cavity as a spear finds its home.  The legionairre across from you grins triumphantly.

You stagger back a few inches.  Cavepeople are dying to your right and left.  One Roman has a caveman standing on his shieldtop and his shoulders, and trying to bite off his nose.  The Roman staggers like someone cut his hamstrings.

Kox roars again.

I realign my plasma pistol's aim.  With the pistol in hand, I start to shoot, aiming for any romans I see, preferably the large group of them still coming.  I attempt to light them up with my pistol, not truly aiming for specific parts other than the upper body.

--Kox...can you Call Fury Down?--  I cough, as I try to shoot the romans.

Re: Krillis Korralled

Kox tries, but with no success.

You fire, melting the upper part of a shield.  Another shot, and you knock a legionairre down.

A wild piercing pain in your leg.  You shoot a legionairre in the head.

A new line wades up to you.  Its five abreast, and becoming two thick.

You fire and melt a shield.  You fire again, and miss.

You try to pull the trigger again, but its just too hard.  Slowly ever so slowly, you look down.  A legionair is pulling his spear from your chest prior to plunging it in again.  The only thing keeping you standing is the two spears already slammed into your chest.

You stagger, and begin to fall.  Maybe you fire again.  You tried to, but its uncertain if the body got the message.

Things get strange....
