Post Ludum: McCallister and the Dinosaur Grendel

This world is based on a theory I saw on a website.

That is, that Beowulf's Edda is a description of dinosaur-hunting by Vikings, and that Beowulf became a professional hunter and leader of a team of hunters.

Its also based on what I remember of the tale.  One key story point was that Beowulf was regarded a joke in his teenage hood.  He was so large and strong that he outgrew his agility, and so he was a massive klutz which had others of his age making fun of him.

Thoughts, comments, ideas for expanding the world, for Nordic magic....for.....??

I wasn't sure I should have so clearly forecasted aka railroaded Mac's doom, but then a Wyrd is very, very Nordic.

And I'll get Mac the Diver another world in a bit.

Re: Post Ludum: McCallister and the Dinosaur Grendel

I had tons of fun in this world, even though it took me a year to get through it. ROFL!

It was kinda strange to know what would happen, but I think there was still some doubt as to whether or not I could actually kill(or even really help kill) a creature called the Grendel. That made it all the better, I needed to stay alive long enough to get the job done.

I also really liked the Beowulf character, that was an interesting way of presenting the tale. The dinos were just an added bonus but very cool as well, they had me scared for a while.
