It was interesting.

Definately an interesting read. I think this world suited Avahur perfectly, although I think thinking would have gotten him farther than shooting in the end.

But then it wouldn't be Avahur.  I think before I take an action, Avahur acts first and thinks later.  That is how he was trained.  If you stop and think about every action, then chances are you'll end up dead.  At least with Avahur.  He constantly has to fight, and he loves it, the rush of battle, feeling your blade sink into your opponent's body, putting your life on the line in do-or-die situations.  He loves the thrill of combat.
