Post Ludum: Alight

A world in which a gather of versers decide to con the locals into believing they're the Greek gods...

I think Avahur reacted how most versers would react. Most versers, even the not faithful, would be outraged at the arrogance and cynicism on display. Others would be annoyed at the frat-house twits...so its a good situation for a verser on verser mano a mano tournameant.

It was a good world though, I enjoyed it.  I'm curious about this new world...

Re: Post Ludum: Alight

Would many versers react that way?  If we assume a random cross-section of beings becoming scriff-infected, some might well decide to join the gang.

As for those who would oppose, there are various methods.  Avahur chose immediate combat.  Others might try to play along for awhile while gathering intelligence and preparing a grander scheme to bring the whole gang down at once.

And of course, versers make nasty enemies, since they keep coming back, and since those who end up in similar "cycles" may see each other again and again.  Those who oppose have to count the cost of making that many enemies.

An interesting world, and a good one for a character like Avahur...  :)
