Survival Outlooks

Not that this is entirely gloating by the Eeee-viullle Killer GM; it also serves as planning for future worlds, and the solicitation of advice on such worlds, and the planning of a possible Gather world.

But it does look like a lot of versers will be versing out soon...possibly.  People do have a way of surviving when not expected...

Alexis--a faceful of virulent virus, plus Onion Head, the near superhuman evil sidekick is behind her:  Outlook grim to really grim.

Jhiaxus--almost certainly he'll get killed in the next twenty posts, problem is Ralphie won't let his play thing go.  There's a reason its called "Gamemastah's Trap".: Outlook is comedic.

Misty--she's in a film noir universe, and I'm not sure if on purpose, or by accident, she has done something very noir-ish.  Now, I can count six ways for her to be rapidly versed out:  Outlook poor.

Playtester--on his seat, out of time, armed with a dagger against a really irritated Minotaur: Outlook poor to grim.

McCallister--soon enough he gets to see what a pistol does to a pleisosaur.  If he wins, he's out of bullets, and acclaimed a great hero, and everyone has another monster they want killed.  If he loses....: Outlook is chancy.

Tomas--studying magic taught by enviromentalist hardcases.  Learning magic is inherently risky with the bothces abounding, but still, he's mostly safe right now.: Outlook chancy.

Oak--discussing theology with a shepherd.  Granted, there are monsters and dragons nearby, but still he's probably the safest of the lot.: Outlook good.

Kate--she's absorbing more and more weirdness which is NOT good for you in the Mythos, and she's running up to the final confrontation.: Outlook poor.

Jesse--about to enter a major battle.  If he wins, he terrifies the Bad Guy Empire who send for everyone they can to stomp him.  If he loses, he's lucky to get a sword, because if he's captured, its torture.: Outlook chancy.
===========================================================================

Thats all the games I'm directly in on.  The other gm's can gloat as they like, or they can be mature and refuse.

============================================================================

I've got a stall world for Alexis, but I'm still thinking a bit on a regular world.  I've got a couple ideas for Kate for a regular world.  Others...not so much.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

And maybe I can do a verser gather in a stall world, we'll see.  It would be a neat trick if I could pull it off.

Re: Survival Outlooks

You mean we will possibly meet each other in a world, all the versers in this game? That would be awesome!

I think so, Tomas.  And do you have any ideas about future world preferences?

Re: Survival Outlooks

Not really. As long as I can learn some sort of magic, and maybe how to defend myself with a weapon, I'll be happy. Maybe afterwards I'll start thinking about "where I'll verse next". For now, I'm defenseless, and magic has been my passion for some time, just in case you didn't notice :P

Re: Survival Outlooks

PT, what makes you think that the results of Misty's actions are accidental?  This is, after all, a noir world.  Misty just went a little neo-noir.

Well, I dunno.  Surrounded by gestalt-linked psionic sheep, and a psi-master shepherd who is no doubt trying to pull the wool over my eyes even as we speak.  Could be really ba-a-a-a-a-d news!  :D

If you're going to get all the versers together, then the world to do it in is obvious...

And the answer is...:

TOONTOWN!  :D

Re: Survival Outlooks

Toontown from Roger Rabbit?  Or Tooniversary? Or some other? I might be able to do Toontown from RR.  Not sure.

I've never ran a Toon-i-verse before.  Might be better if I started with just one player in a Toon-i-verse.

I have to admit, Misty, it makes for a very interesting twist to the movie....very possibly better, and stronger, and definitely more of a kick in the head than my version.

Now, I have to ask about next universes for you, since you could beat Chris and Annie but its not likely.  And you were one of those that I had been drawing a blank on next universes for.  I'm actually thinking a stall world would be good for you to get your two (Alexis and Misty's) verses more in synch with Kate's.

Okay, I have a cool idea for a gather world...but I'll see what ya'll think about things.

Re: Survival Outlooks

Toontown sounds like an excellent idea.  I think it could be a lot of fun.  However, I am also interested in what Playtester has in mind.  His mind scares me sometimes but it also comes up up with some really creative ideas that I would never have thought about myself.

Re: Survival Outlooks

I was thinking Roger Rabbit...

If most of the Multiverser worlds are magic-based, then you can feel free to use me to test the other ones.  Toontown, Psi-World, Sci-Fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, etc.), and of course Supers (Incredibles!)  :)

Now if only I'm able to learn (and retain!) cartoon physics, and have that carry over to other worlds.  And don't forget adding a Portable Hole to the possessions that follow me around... ;)

Toontown beats Cool World.

As to the next world?  I've had a blast with the ones so far.  There's no reason why dealer's choice won't still work.

Re: Survival Outlooks

Thank you Misty.  And Oak, I'll keep it in mind that you like a Toon-i-verse.

I wouldn't say most Multiverser worlds are magical though.  That may be just an artifact of the way I run.

Now, Misty, for example has been in Connetticut Yankee in Space with a sublight starship and a fallen technologically colony world; and a world created from the imagination of a very powerful eleven year old girl who is a psionic; and film noir.  Almost no trace of magic there.

Alexis--James Bond.

Tomas--well, he's gone from magic to magic with the Tower of Rhodes, and now the Red Lords' Empire of the Phoenix.

Malachai went from magic with Tall Tales of Mythica to alternate history with Rocky Mountain DMZ to magic with vampire hunting to his current zombie world.

Mac went to magic even though he didn't realize it, and then to some magic, but mostly steel in his world (which I don't have a name for yet).

So, I don't know.

Re: Survival Outlooks

Ooo, those are some other good ideas.  Exploring ruins of fallen technological civilizations, history, alternate history, imaginary and/or virtual worlds (that kinda covers anything from Alice in Wonderland to Picard's "Inner Light" lifetime).  And of course, the current one (song-based power) is fun too... :)

I haven't been around as long as some folks, but from what I've seen, you do an excellent job.  Dealer's choice does indeed seem to make sense...  :D
