Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

Or..the Warplain where Avahur faced off against a giant mega-spider, and an orc.

Ideas, comments, etc...

Was I too rough putting 50 berserk cannibals, and a minor demon from the Charmed series against them?  Perhaps. I know if she had seen teh forces arrayed the next morning, she would definitely have thought so.

A certain albino haired, crimson-eyed swordsman..."Blood and souls for my Lord Erioch!".....

And that was a botch that versed her out of there.

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

I liked it, I think it's a world everyone should visit every few worlds, why? It give non combantants a chance to get some fighting in, or using other means to help in the battles. It allows people to upgrade their gear (either with a lucky GE roll, or looting a corpse), and it's a short romp. The reason I think every few worlds, I like to think of it like a constant battle, and the powers that be have their favored heros and villians, that they like to bring back every new season for the ratings :D. I think what would be cool, is if PT asked everyone in a PM, if they had their choice of 4 teammeates, who they would choose and why, would make it a lot more interactive at the beginning. Also if non combatant follers are tagging along, there should be an observation box if they are non coms.

As you see I really liked it. I think this is a good stall world, as it's usually a short adventure, and it gives the player the ability to build a little of the story, if allowed to choose some of their teammates.

Just my 2 cents.

Amen.

It was good, that spider was a pain...oh well I can heal all my wounds once a day due to an extremely lucky roll when looting a medic's corpse.  I do agree with Jhiaxus, yeah I'd like to go back and hopefully choose some teamates...I know who I would choose and why... but yeah it was a good story and I enjoyed reading it.

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

J-Hack, I must not be doing the equipment thing right.  I lost most of my backup food and water, binocs, a 9mm Glock with two spare mags, and a type one phaser with a belt of reloads.  Upgrade gear?  Not this run.  At least, I have a few trinkets left to trade for stuff at my next stop.

PT, I did take the demon guy down with me, right?

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

Your not :)

When you give away things like weapons and anything other than food or water, here is what you do if you want to keep the items:

"You may borrow this, but this is mine, and it will leave with me when I go".

That gets you a roll, which I would bonus, when you leave when it comes to ownership of said stuff.

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

J-hack, unless someone mentions that to her IC, she will never think of it.  Besides, there might be something useful in the unopened box wrapped in Starfleet paper.

I loved the Warworld.  I had a great time.  It was fun to have a straight up mission accompanied by some of my favorite characters.  I know that botches happen, but it would have been cool to face down the mob and fight, even if we were to lose.

BTW, I knew the identity of the guy with the scarf.  I was just having a bit of fun.  PT, I was wondering if it was going to turn into a "Who's on First" bit.

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

I know, but just putting it here for everyone to see, it is part of my job here to explain the rules when ooc threads come up :) I did a version of that giving the weapon to Kate, IC he doesn't understand hardly at all about ownership, he just wanted to give Kate a good weapon since he had extra. :)

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

Giving a good weapon to someone who needed it was also the reason why Sarge Summers got the Glock and Honor got the phaser.  Misty tends to accumulate weapons.  That is a good thing in my book.

What caused Misty to get the exit interview with Dr. Who, and Avahur not to?

Re: Post Ludum: Misty against Mordor

Nothing in particular.  I'm not even sure if I have it in the notes to have a debriefing after the fight or not...mostly, it just seemed cool...a lot of things I do, I don't totally pre-plan.  I have some vague idea of what I'm going to do, at best.

Besides, one was Mal, and the other was me, running.
