Just a word, especially for the newer folks...

Gather Worlds are fun!!!  It is your Big Chance to meet and interact with other versers in character -- that is, each other!!!

Krillis has shown great creativity in his past worlds.  I for one am looking forward to having the chance to be in one.

Plus... since PT is going on vacation, if you don't join in the fun, you'll be twiddling your in-character Worldwalker virtual thumbs until he comes back... :p

Have no fear -- those who participate are able to return and resume their old threads at the end of the Temp Gather.  So you won't miss out on interesting stuff currently happening in your respective universes.

Come one, come all!  The more, the merrier!  :)

Yeah...I'm in. Don't wanna do nothing for 2 weeks, and this could be really cool, but...how are we going to fit this in when we're also busy in our current worlds? How can we make this consistent? I think you guys have done this once before, so please explain. I'm still new here, after all...:)

EDIT: Uh...never mind. I just realized that PT's post on my thread was linked to the Gather World... :)

Hmm.. my third gather world...  Should be interesting.  If I see Day again... one of us might be versing out.

Woah, hold on. When we enter this gather world, will I still have my gun? Cause' I dropped it in my world, and the Reptile Force probably took it...

Basically, something calls you into another world from your current one.  If you accept the call, then you're teleported from your current world into the gather world.

The world that you're in currently, run by PT, will pause if you're still in it.  When you die in the world that I'm running, you teleport back to PT's, exactly as you were plus whatever else you gain (minus whatever else you lose/trade).

Take it up with PT whether or not you'll have your gun.  The way you make it sound, the gun is now possessed by these reptile people.

People, Gather Worlds are fun and this one would really be interesting with a large amount.

I'll be gone for a couple of weeks (although the Ladyfaire is lobbying for three weeks since Adventurcon comes out the week after Teh Yearly Vacation.)

Krillis has run a lot, and he's run Temp Gathers before.

Hey guys, I'm really psyched for this, even though I might be a little shaky.

Still, I can totally do this.

I wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to wait today until everyone who has already expressed interest has responded positively in their own worlds before starting the gather thread up.

If they don't respond by noon tomorrow, I'll put the thread up tomorrow for those who have accepted it in character already.

My internet connection is messing up whenever rain comes, so if I'm not on for a day at some time, you know why.

Well, you'll be in it when I get back from wally world, at least.

I'm just letting everyone know that I'm going to be going out of town tomorrow for a day.

I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon and I'll be getting back Thursday night.  Depending on how late it is, I may or not get a post in on Thursday; however, I'll definately try to get another in before I head out.

Yeah...I like it. More streamlined, not as cluttered, and the search is now accessible from the homepage. Sweet. :)

Yep, I think it's very nice that all my games are listed together in one collum... both of them.

I was a bit worried about the new layout at first, but the friendly "don't worry" on the top of the new menu calmed me down.

I need to write faster. In the time it took me to write that post in which I talk to Shane, he made his own post, and I almost crapped myself for fearing having made "the most apathic "hello to you too" on the forum.

LE GASP. I believe I have detected a flaw in this new layout. WHERE ARE THE GENRE LISTS?! Before all this, you were able to select a genre and browse through all the  active & inactive games in that genre. If they've been taken off, this is gonna make game searching a LOT more difficult. :(

Shane, if you check out the Search system they have lined up, you'll see that you can search genres alphabetically still.

I believe that there is method to their madness.

Instead of having a game classified as belonging in only one category, a game can now be in up to three.  So it doesn't work to list them the old way by category any more...

But alas, the upgrade did not remove the one thousand post limit per thread.
