Re: OOC Thread III

I'm sorry all, but the post will have to wait for tomorrow.  For those in conversation with one another, go ahead and get all the talking you want to out of the way, lol.

I'm talking to Shane, Lucas, Oak, and Amanda when I say this.

Re: OOC Thread III

I'm going away for the next week. There is a big music festival in southern Norway I am going to visit, and because of this I won't be able to keep up.

I have a live connection between my gmail account and my mobile phone, so an alternative could be for Krillis to email me the part of his post that pertains to my character, and then I can email my reply back to him, and stay active that way. If you think this sounds like an OK idea Krillis, this is my email: ningos.a1@gmail.com

Hey all,

I don't think I'll be able to keep up with this gathering as work is really getting hectic so If I could be removed that would be great... sorry once again.

Re: OOC Thread III

Don't worry about it Valiant.  I'll have you hit by a bus.

Would you like it to be after you buy some clothes?  I can just post that you find whatever pants, shirt, jacket combination that you want then you're hit by a bus?  Or would you like to take that money with you instead?

I feel bad for killing you, leaving you empty-handed from this world.  I figured I could at least give you some clothes, lol.

Gah, sorry I must have missed your post, and yours as well Mentat.  I don't know how that happened-I'm on it right now.

Pinkeye, Blackeye

In a way its funny.  I got pinkeye in my right eye (probably courtesy of diapered tot sitting on my pillow) about nine days ago.  I eventually got some treatment as I'm not the type of person to rush off to a doctor. The treatment wasn't helping that much. Add in a visit to the dentist to abuse me puir body some more, terrifie me soul and ..

Thursday, I had some nausea, and threw up violently enough to feel my eye bulge. Next day, I look like some really big guy plastered me. I continue to try to hold off, and hope I'll get better. Then I visit the ER, and get about a half-dozen tests.

Results were that it seemed I was fine. I'd burst a blood vessel with my upchuck.  It should be fine, and the resulting black eye of doom (really huge) will clear up in two or three weeks. But, I've managed to get a flu? or something in the midst of this, probably the pinkeye spreading.  So I'm doing my humble best to do nothing at all, and I've lived on Coke, milk, and rice crispy bars for the last week.

I've lost about ten pounds over the last week which isn't all bad as I do have a paunch. It really is kind of funny if you look at it in the right way. Or maybe that's the drugs talking. I don't need sympathy as I know ya'll care. But bad jokes are acceptable.

Glad that you are still alive enough to post, even though you've been going through a rough patch lately...  :/

OK, let me see if I can produce jokes sufficiently bad to cheer you up...  :D

Suppose that your illness continues to the point where you verse out.  In your next universe, what color will your eye be?  And how big will your paunch be?  :o

The Gather Thread features people who appear to be Angelic, with eyes a mesmerizing shade of blue.  Shall we begin speculating as to what it means if your eyes are pink, or black?  :p

Re: Pinkeye, Blackeye

Angelic?  What gather thread are YOU readin?"

PT... I could mention something slightly funny probably.. but then again, I'm also on some meds as I just got my wisdom teeth removed and I just got back from watching Get Smart...which by the way was hilarious.

Although I must say.. when you were describing the ordeal and said..

"I got pinkeye in my right eye (probably courtesy of diapered tot sitting on my pillow)"

and then later, "I'd burst a blood vessel with my upchuck."

Both of which got me to laugh.  The thought of bursting a blood vessel during the process of upchucking is relatively funny if you look at it from a certain point of view... the third person view to be specific, as I wouldn't want to see it from the second or feel it from the first.  So, as I was saying that made me chuckle a bit, and then how you probably got the said pinkeye, well that would be an interesting way to get it.  So...  I learned something new today..

*writes down*

"...turn pillow over and/or change sheets after diapered tot sits on pillow....possible consequences...less than pleasent... severe..."

*stops writing*

Anyway, I hope you feel better, good luck with all that, and with some luck, skill, a bit of fortune, and some prayer ya might get cured a bit faster than expected as ya never know what other forces are at work in the world around you... or in the other worlds that go around the same sun as you that may affect the slight rotation in your planet to cause possible side-effects that would make something less than pleasent into something possibly nifty and pleasent in a different matter.

But then again, questioning what goes on in our verse is always an interesting thing, for when the limits are never clear and you can't see or define exactly what can be what and what happens in the world around you, the slghtest action could cause a ripple that could be heard for a millenia that will inadvertenly cause large forces to collide and decide the fate of the world....then again, maybe not.  But you can never question the capabilities of the verse, and so as I was tryng to say, good luck and perhaps you'll get better soon.

Re: Pinkeye, Blackeye

I'm personally looking foreward to seeing WALL-E.  I think it's going to be a blast.

I was laughing for a whole minute after the preview alone in the theater when I went to see Kung Fu Panda, lol.

Ah...I'm really looking foreward to that movie.  I hope you feel good soon, PT.

I hope you don't mind that I'm not through with these guys yet-did you per chance want to play in the gather with them-Tadeusz?

Me no play. Typing is exhausting. In a way, the post was to alert everyone to the fact that I'm not jumping back in Real Soon Now.

The eye does look better than it did yesterday which surprised me a few minutes past.

Ooooh....

I'm really, really sorry about springing this on people so suddenly, but I must take a leave of absence.

I'm driving a special someone of mine back home (where I used to live) and I'm staying in town for about a week.  We're making that trip back tomorrow, so I should be back Tuesday of next week-maybe Wednesday, depending on how much fun I'm having, lol.

Sorry again to suprise people with this, but I won't be able to post again until then.

Okay, I'm ready for the "Pickeye" breakout now. Because I know what's really going on around here.

Re: Pinkeye, Blackeye

Hmm...well, I've got some news, too.

On July 2, I'll be leaving for vacation. I'll be back home on around July 30. I don't think I'll have internet during my time over there. I can't say for certain though. Does anybody know what to do with my character, in case I don't have access to the net? Like, can anyone take over for me or something, or does my character have to stay in stasis?

Re: Pinkeye, Blackeye

While others are leaving, I have returned safe and sound from my holiday - that is if I can call a week of sleeping on the ground, sleeping only for the minimum amount possible and jumping until I can't feel my legs anymore.

Festivals are a blast, and on my have-seen list I can chalk up names like Jay-Z, The Raconteurs, Panic at the Disco, Flogging Molly, In Flames, Black Kids, Hercules and Love Affair and many more. I was going to see Babyshambles as well, but Pete canceled in the last minute. Not that I didn't see Pete letting us down coming a mile away, but it was still a shame.

I started driving back today at 02:00 AM (GMT+1), and just returned, tired as hell, but rearing to get back on track here on RPOL.

Shame about your eye PT.

My apologies for this everyone, but I'll be delayed in my return.

I've managed to hijack a friend's computer and internet for a little bit, so I can at least get the message out that I won't be back to regular access until next Sunday, most likely.
