Re: Annoyance
And yes, you can buy the Multiverser: The Game rpg rule book. Its huge, but the vast majority of it is skill charts and is thus stuff you don't need to read in detail.
I think its very creative, extremely insightful, of massive broadness of topic, and sometimes a bit klunky and hard to read. It is a work of genius. There are also the First and Second Book of Worlds which list 18 total worlds you can use to help you get started. I think there is or will be something called Triple Play which is three worlds only. Some of the worlds are astounding...Ba'kegn is brilliant and utterly strange.
And if you go to Lulu.com and search for 'Death of a Blogger' you'll find my storefront and you might find some useful Multiverser related stuff there. Buy one of everything for yourself, and one for each of your friends. :)
I hope to add some more stuff to the storefront sometime after I start to take my break.
If Oak hasn't bought the Big Black Book (my name for it) of basic rules, I highly reccomend that he do so.
As I usually say, buying the book has the advantage of you finding out all the things I'm doing wrong.
MJ, the game designer, does give plentiful and clearly logical advice to those who ask at Gamingoutpost.com. And there are a lot of pretty good ideas for worlds in the back pages of the site.
One of my favorite worlds (in the top twenty) is Music Wars which was conceptualized by JohnA1Nut. And the world you were in...Red Shirt Terror World (not the greatest of names) was created on the pages of GO.
And if you want to try to run worlds, Hadrian, or someone else does, that would be most interesting.
