Whilst you're thinking about how to do this, it all at once occurs to you that it might be easier with your helmet on. You've heard that the Trimaxian Droneships use a version of the helmet to help the pilot telepathically control the ships.

OOC) Okay, first off you do not have any kind of telepathy or coding knowledge. That was a different character. So you can go in and poke around, sure. But planting a computer virus is outside your ability.

IC) With the helmet on, you've now got access to a more mechanical form of telepathy. It's closer to what the Borg were using on you. When you establish a link to the Queen, your head's up display begins spazzing out. It's showing you menus of tactical, propulsion, weapons systems, locations of cubes, drone deployment. You even have access to waste removal and regeneration cycles. Most of it flashes too quickly for you to really make out. But if you focus on one, you can examine it in more detail. It's like a memory overflow though. You're not going to be able to sustain this very long.

So what do you want to look up?

Activate a full scale regeneration cycle.  Chances are, that will shut everything down for a time as everything gets fixed, and thus give me more time for mischief.

And all at once, you're standing before the Borg queen. About a dozen drones are standing around. Bodyguards, you would assume. You're on a Borg ship.

She motions to the drones and they begin approaching. You have no weapons, you're dressed in hospital scrubs and you're wearing the helmet. Surrounded by Borg.

Where are you planning to run to? Even from where you are, you can see that the ship is only about three stories cubed. There's nowhere to run.

OOC) I've got a whole bunch of ideas here for what can happen. And since I can't settle on one, I'm going to let you pick what happens next. You have three choices.

1) You can be assimilated.
2) Magehammer can show up and bail you out.
3) You can find out what's behind door number three.

The choice is yours.

So you attack the Borg queen. You're pumelling her with your fists. Strangely, she's making little to no effort to fight back or to defend herself. She's screaming in pain and begging you to stop. But then you have a flash. You're back at the hospital. It's not the Borg queen, it's a hospital nurse you're pounding. But that can't be. You're on a Borg ship. Another Borg comes up from your right and you backhand slap him hard enough to send him flying across the room. Another flash. You're back at the hospital. A doctor with a broken nose is laying unconscious to your right. But that can't be. You're on a Borg ship. You return to pummeling the queen. A third Borg comes up and stabs you in the back of the neck. You expect the assimilation process to happen. But it's not. As the hypo spray begins to take effect, the Borg ship melts away. You are back at the hospital. You're holding a bloodied and beaten nurse with one hand. The doctor you slapped is sitting up dazed. You spin around to see another doctor holding a hypo spray. Then you pass out.

When you wake up, you're in a straight jacket in a padded cell about 7 feet square. The walls, floor and even the ceiling are padded. You cannot hurt yourself no matter how hard you beat your head against the wall. Go ahead, try it. I'll wait. There's a little 8 inch square window in the door of the cell. You can see the doctor with the broken nose talking to the one who hypo sprayed you.

"Borg psychosis. First diagnosed by Doctor Phlox."

"How's the nurse?"

"Nurse is fine. Gonna require some heavy dermal regeneration though."

Then they look in at you and say nothing.

I close my eyes.  Ignore them.

I listen to the beeps of the machinery, and the sounds of the hydraulics trying to find its voice, its song.  I'm not sure if this is psi or magic, well no, its psi...

So you listen. As you're listening, you pick up chatter about what they're intending to do with you. What you hear most often is "Land of the benevolent purple dinosaur."

So after a day or so, the room fills up with a purple, smokey gas. You black out. When you wake up, you are out of the straight jacket and sitting on the floor of a large room. Your thoughts are surprisingly calm and collected. You hear "Do No Harm" repeating in your head. Not like a voice that you can hear, it's just inside your head.

Then you see him. The benevolent purple dinosaur. He's singing "I love you. You love me........" It's remarkably soothing and not irritating at all. Not like it should be.

Did I verse?

Not at all. As a matter or fact, versing is the least thing on your mind. You just want to listen to The Benevolent Purple Dinosaur sing. That's all.

It's so peaceful and serene. You never want it to stop.

Well, I go to sleep.

And you're woken up by a nurse some hours later. You're laying on a hospital bed. The nurse has got a tray of food. There's a hamburger and some fresh cut fruit. Barney is still singing. "I love you. You love me." It's beautiful.

Through random chats with the nurses, you learn that you are in an experimental facility. They've been really good effects from it. Positive reinforcement.

And relax. There are no plans we've seen about cutting out parts of your brain....... at least not for today, anyway. But that can change.....

Might as well enjoy the peace.

Enjoy the peace.  Some of the breaks in my soul start healing a bit.

So you relax and get fed medications by nurses. Sedatives you think. Once a week they have group therapy sessions where you're supposed to talk about why you're there.

The group leader turns to you and asks:

"So Tadeusz, do you know why you're here?"

I've stopped talking to anyone by now.  The group leader wakes me up.  I focus on falling back to sleep.

After several attempts to get your attention, he gives up. You hear him call a nurse over. "We need to cut back on his medication" you hear him say. Tomorrow there will be one less pill in your ration.

But whilst you're sitting there asleep, all at once you get slapped upside the head. Magehammer just smacked you sideways. You are back to normal, full alert consciousness. He asks:

"Do you wanna stay here? I can get you out. Up to you buddy!!!!"

You get the feeling that you can talk freely without any hospital staff noticing.
