Re: Hello.

Hello folks. I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to Rpol, but I've been having fun with RPGs for a while. I cant wait to get started!

Re: Hello.

Hi Alexis and Jesse, how are things in your threads?

Malachai has me kinda jumpy over there, worried this guy is going to go crazy or the volcano behind me is going to blow...Fun stuff, all in all.

Re: Hello.

Hiya Mac. My thread seems to be going fine so far, I have to admit that I'm curious about the 8 foot tall, three eyed monkey, but I guess I'll just have to see what comes next.

Re: Hello.

Credit cards are nice.....especially when you don't have to pay for 'em! I kinda like the bit in yer thread about the sitcoms to movies, lol....

Course I will be watching that three-eyed-monkey with much interest over the next few postings. It's probably a verser too....lol

Re: Hello.

Welcome to all the new 'versers.  I must have the only character who has no idea that she is a 'verser.  That's not a problem.  In fact, it's rather cool.

Re: Hello.

At this point in the thread, Jesse thinks he has run across bigfoot in a cave in Washington state. Verser hasnt come into it just yet.

Jesse's going to be in the same boat, just not the same ship aka the Yankee.

Re: Hello.

The difference is that Misty has over a hundred posts on ya, and she still doesn't know....lol, I think it's kinda funny myself. I read the part in your thread where ya were sorta dreaming while the ship was crashing, confronted by a specter that told you it was time to go(versing supposedly)....that was pretty funny, you said something like, "...go anywhere??? I can't even move..."

It was a great moment.

Though I have to say I loved Aliens and my favorite character was Hicks, so I have to say, nice picture!

Re: Hello.

It's cool to finally meet all of you!
no one had posted to this thread in a while, so it seemed passe to post here before. Good to see that it's finally picked up again.

Hello to JHack and Kate!
I have to admit Kate, I have been intrigued by your storyline too. Very nifty scenario to learn about versing in, are you a scientist in RL?(If you don't mind my asking...) Regardless, it's very well written on yours and PTs end.

Did you find that picture in the RPOL archive Misty? My compliments on it.

Re: Hello.

Science is a hobby, and something that was spoken around the dinner table when I was growing up.  IRL I'm a software developer.  You?

And now that Kate and I have been introduced to the world at large, I'm going back and reading other folks' adventures.

Re: Hello.

I grew up along similar lines so I could identify with Kate's choices alot more. That sort of thing would be one of the reasons that I love SF so much.

I have a relatively mundane job, I'm a Retail Sales Consultant(Fancy name for a sslesman...) at a wireless provider. I got stuck in a small town and so I don't have many good opportunities. Though I take summer jobs at the state run Tree Fruit Research Station as a tech, it's closer to a job that I would love and it's alot of fun.

Re: Hello.

Just checking up on threads, notice how Jessie mentioned the latest in gear. There are certain worlds where the "latest" isn't all that is available. Doing some research on various projects in the testing phases, you can ask, and possibly get those in those near future worlds. Of coarse I started with a compound bow, and it's still my best weapon, my second world I got a kinetic blaster, which promptly broke my third world, now on my fifth, got my laundry list of guns filled (mostly current stable ones, but a few in testing), and if I survive the Die Hard mixed with a atomic bomb run, I hope to actually repair the trigger on my kinetic blaster. I guess my advice to all versers, is that everything is possible somewhere, start experementing :)

Re: Hello.

Crap, I'm really sorry for not posting the last few days.

Life has been pretty hectic.

>_<

I'll try and post more now, but I just got a couple big projects in school, so... meh, I'll try.

Re: Hello.

Hey everybody I found a really nifty board for everybody to check out. It'll help out GMs and players alike. It seems like a great idea. Check it out and post an add for you favorite games. OR you could go and check out the games these people are in.....lots of uses. With enough people it could end up being a regular RPOL board, who knows.

Re: Hello.

Just an ackowledgement that you're doing a great job with this game Playtester.  I've had a great time here and there are few GMs that have the patience, time and dedication to stick it out with a group, especially with the high posting rate that you keep up.

Thanks!
