Re:  The Rivers Gate

*Ding* Overhearing a conversation that just begs for Goodly Intervention, Vespian walks straight away to the side of the injured  something on the stretcher and speaks to the Dwarves who are in conversation. "I have a very tiny knowledge of the healing arts, but such a small bit is better then non at all. Pleae let me examine your friend to at least see if there is any help I may provide." She then quietly waits for their response, permission or rejection.

Vesp notes the Druids interest in the patient. "Maybe trauma associated with loss of blood? Eh Milo"
She gives the patient on the stretcher a good look too.

Re:  The Rivers Gate

The patient on the stretcher is certainly in bad shape, it seems that his flesh is ripped and torn in more than one place, he is losing blood. The figure is about the same shape and build of Milo, he appears to be a Halfling, but he is badly wounded.
The old gruff dwarf pipes up loudly when speaking with Vespian "Well of course my dear anything you could do to ease his pain until we get him to the temple. We would be much obliged." The dwarf lowers his head as he watches Milo intently.

As Milo reaches down to help, the little one he feels the chill in the wounded ones skin, the blood is not clotting, it seems that he will soon travel on. He will need temple intervention, so it seems.

Re:  The Rivers Gate

Gimuld walks closer to the gates and as he moves forward he spots an old woman getting her cart ready for the move inside the city. The Old Women straps down her load in her small one donkey cart, and then tends to her donkey.

As she brushes her donkey's hair and mane. "Orcs ya say boy?" Her toothless mouth flaps and gabbers as she speaks. "Whelp, me and Gissupie err made the long trek from Auvandell, in lass fer days." she props her head up a bit to get a better look at the boy Gimuld "and-a we's a dint see a one." She pauses with a toothless smile "corse we's was follow those there Dwarves in that fancy caravan they got der."

About 50' in front of the old lady in a small clearing sets a well armored caravan pulled by a six team of oxen. Three stout dwarves can be seen in worn plate guarding the caravan as another two dwarves tend to the oxen.

Re:  The Rivers Gate

To Milo & Vespian
As Milo heals the Halfling man back to strength the City gates begin to open. Seeing the lifeblood flow through his friend the Gruff dwarf gets overly excited and pats Milo hard on the back. "O good show Me boy. Good show. He'll surely make it now." Then reaching out with his hand."Names Gunther, me and my boys is much obliged to ya's. Come see us at "Goat's" tonight we'll make it right." He then dust his hands off and knells down to pick up his pack and hoists it over his shoulder. "Gates  err open'n its time we get 'em to a Temple. We'll see yous two tanight." He nods his head as he motions for his crew to advance.

The two dwarves lift the man on the stretcher as they nod thanks on the way by, as does the remaining human with the two stuffed packs.

Re:  The Rivers Gate

"Orcs?" Vesp bored and about to die if she doesn't get throught the gates was listening in on other folks conversation. "It all depends on if you prepare a swamp fed Orc, or a herd fed Orc or a Halfling fed Orc. I personally would never touch a swamp Orc, but there are those who swear by them with a good smoking or 2 day stewing. Make sure you use a lot of onions. Now the migratory herd Orcs, they usually have a fair-off flavor that can be overcome with a good seasoning. They are usually best for making jerky out of. But then," halfling fed Orc, its......" She catches her self as she remembers her good friend Milo is right next to her. "why its the epitome of all evil and a terrible abomination of sheer nastiness! Such practices must neve be allowed!" She then quietly whispers to Gimuld, "but if you have to face such utter evil, best to do so with a wine of Red Vintage and sauteed mushrooms. Add in a Rasberry Croissante and you are feasting like a King!"

Re:  The Rivers Gate

A man in a common suit of scale mail, appearing without frills but dignified, finds a short hill by the side of the road and begins addressing the crowd.

"Hear ye, hear ye, the goddess Siamorphe hereby offers her protection and guidance to this land.  She comes not to usurp power, but to support it.  In these trying times, unity under fair leaders is essential, and Siamorphe will lead us toward that end.  I do not expect your support immediately upon meeting me, however.  That is why I, Deacon Bazyli Urgarius, offer my services to this community in the hopes of building a church upon Sundabar's generosity."

The man waits to gauge reactions, then moves to mingle with the populace.

Before entering town, Bazyli makes another announcement.

"A short service will be held at noon today in honor of Siamorphe...assuming I can find the proper accoutrements....we will meet outside the Temple of Tyr, not out of defiance, but in the name of accord."

The priest comes down from the hill and addresses Vespian, "Mistress, might I inquire...do you or either of your companions know their way about town?"

Re:  The Rivers Gate

A small group of about seven to eight people seem to take interest in Bazyli's quaint little sermon. One of the common folk pipes up, he is a simple looking older human man with thin gray hair and a leather apron. "protection and guidance....huh? We'll see about that, will she protect us from the Hordes of Orcs that fall forth from the north mountains cutting off Felbarr, will she protect us from the bandits or the goblin kingdoms, and will she protect us from the fell beast of Moon Pass?" The old man pauses for a moment and gets some inspiration form the crowd... "Yeah!" , "yEah!", "yeAh!".. The crowd pipes in with the same skepticism of the old man. Then the old man continues on. " No I think she'll not! Less thy prove us wrong." He points a crooked old finger at Bazyli, the point turns to a wave of the hand in a disgusted motion "Bah!" He states as he walks off in the direction of the gates.

OOC: good to see everyone get together ;)
And now that most everyone is together, what is the plan of action?

After Bazyli's little sermon, Quindil approachs him, and the rest of the group.
Doesn't sound like they're exactly convinced does it?  I for one would like to know exactly what this "fell beast" of the Moon Pass is.  I take a keen interest in abnormal creatures, and this certainly sounds like an odd one.
